They claimed that he \u2063appeared to be preparing to leave the country in order to engage in or support terrorism. <\/p>\n<p>Additionally, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/islamic-extremist-teen-charged-in-connection-to-terrorism-probe\/\" title=\"Teen charged in terrorism probe linked to Islamic extremism.\">unidentified subject allegedly purchased tactical equipment<\/a>, \u2062chemicals, wiring, and devices often used as \u200bremote detonators. <\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>\u201cThese purchases quickly escalated this case in both \u2063threat \u200band priority for\u200c our office,\u201d \u200dMcGuire said. \u201cThis was\u2063 now a\u2064 situation where we believed public safety was at risk.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The 17-year-old was taken into custody Friday after the FBI and district attorneys\u00a0got a hold of a warrant for his arrest \u2062as well as one for \u200da search of his home. <\/p>\n<p>The teen boy has \u200dnot been publicly identified due to his age.
