EcoHealth funneled U.S. taxpayer funds to \u200cthe Wuhan Institute\u2064 of Virology, where\u2064 the first\u2064 COVID-19 cases appeared.<\/p>\n<p>Multiple U.S. intelligence agencies believe that COVID-19 originated from the Wuhan laboratory. A U.S.\u2063 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/covid-victims-families-sue-us-based-nonprofit-for-funding-releasing-virus\/\" title=\"Families sue US nonprofit for funding and releasing COVID.\">inspector general report\u2063 concluded<\/a> that\u200d the National Institutes of Health, which provided funding to EcoHealth, failed to adequately monitor the research. EcoHealth also failed to ensure that the Wuhan lab complied\u2063 with \u2063U.S. \u2062requirements.<\/p>\n<p>The plaintiffs argue that the defendants \u200bhad a responsibility to carry out the research\u2062 reasonably and\u2062 protect the \u2064public from \u2062the risks of\u2062 exposure to coronaviruses. \u200bThey claim that \u200cthe defendants&#8217; negligence \u2064and dangerous research led to\u200d the fatal COVID-19\u2064 infections \u200cof \u2062their relatives.<\/p>\n<p>The plaintiffs seek damages and other monetary relief to \u2062<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/brooklyn-subway-shooting-suspect-in-custody\/\" title=\"Brooklyn Subway Shooting Suspect in Custody\">prevent similar acts<\/a> in the\u200c future.
