The \u200dcompany&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/china-evergrande-ev-unit-to-issue-fresh-shares-in-restructuring-plan\/\" title=\"China Evergrande's electric vehicle unit will issue new shares as part of its restructuring plan.\">listed electric-vehicle arm<\/a>, China Evergrande\u200d New\u200c Energy Vehicle Group (NEV), will be issuing \u2063new shares to \u200ccertain subscribers to alleviate its loan\u200b burden \u2062and improve liquidity.<\/p>\n<p>Under\u200d the terms of the agreement, NEV will\u2062 issue a total of \u200d5.44 billion new shares \u2064at HK$3.84\u200b per NEV\u200b share, raising HK$20.89 billion ($2.67 billion).<\/p>\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-1663871513696-art-1\" style=\"min-width: 320px; min-height: 50px;  text-align: center;\">  \t<script>  \t\tgoogletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display('div-gpt-ad-1663871513696-art-1'); });  \t<\/script>  <\/div>\n<div class=\"ad-slot__ad-label\">Advertisement<\/div>\n<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of \u2064this\u2062 fresh issue is\u2062 to repay\u2062 loans owed by NEV to China Evergrande, its founder Hui Ka Yan, and his unit \u2062Xin Xin (BVI) Ltd, among others.<\/p>\n<p>Out of the total shares to be issued, approximately 4.18 billion \u2062NEV shares\u200c will be deposited into \u200dcustody accounts \u2062under the mandatory exchangeable\u200d bonds into NEV shares (MEB),\u200b as well as\u2064 the NEV Linked \u200cNew Notes \u2063A2 and NEV Linked New\u2064 Notes C2 to be issued by the company to its creditors.<\/p>\n<p>The remaining 690.1 million shares will be deposited into a custody account and used as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/economic-freedom-falls-in-the-u-s\/\" title=\"Economic Freedom Falls in the U.S.\">exchange property<\/a>\u200c for MEB.<\/p>\n<p>In a separate announcement, NEV has\u200c also\u200c agreed to issue 6.18 billion new shares to \u2064U.S.-listed NWTN for a total consideration of HK$3.89 billion, \u200cimplying a subscription price of HK$0.6297 per share.<\/p>\n<p>To support its business recovery,\u200d NWTN (Zhejiang) Automobile\u2063 and \u2064Evergrande New Energy\u200b Vehicle (Tianjin)\u200d have signed a \u2062support deal for interest-free funding of RMB600 million. This funding will be utilized for the \u2062research and development, manufacturing, and sales \u2062services of vehicles under the\u2062 group.<\/p>\n<p>Upon \u2063completion, NWTN will hold approximately 27.50% stake \u2064in NEV.
