App Neutrality Is The Answer\">stifle free speech online<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>On Aug. 7, Mr. Jordan took a bold stand against\u2062 the Biden administration&#8217;s censorship-by-proxy scheme. He \u200djoined 12 congressional Republicans in a lawsuit, accusing the administration of pressuring\u200d social media companies to suppress free\u200d speech.<\/p>\n<p>The Weaponization subcommittee recently obtained a\u200b cache of files that provide evidence of government collusion with Facebook. They\u2062 alleged that these agencies pushed social media platforms to censor posts\u200c and remove accounts, constituting one of the\u200b greatest assaults on freedom of speech\u2063 in U.S. history.<\/p>\n<p>Judge Terry \u200cA. Doughty of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Louisiana ruled\u2063 in \u2064favor of the attorneys \u200bgeneral on July 4.\u2062 He issued an injunction that banned \u2064government agencies from collaborating with Big Tech\u200d companies to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/california-officials-biden-linked-firm-colluded-with-big-tech-to-censor-election-posts-judicial-watch\/\" title=\"California Officials, Biden-Linked Firm Colluded With Big Tech to Censor Election Posts: Judicial Watch\">censor social media posts<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Biden administration appealed, and on July 14, a three-judge panel \u2063for\u2064 the 5th Circuit Court of\u2062 Appeals in \u200bNew Orleans granted \u2062the government&#8217;s\u200b request to temporarily lift\u200b the censorship-by-proxy ban.<\/p>\n<p>In\u2062 its appeal, the \u200dBiden administration argued that the injunction caused &#8220;irreparable harm&#8221; because it\u200d prevented federal agencies from \u200bcommunicating with social media companies \u2064for legitimate reasons, such as fighting crime.<\/p>\n<p>Judge Doughty denied the Department of \u200bJustice&#8217;s request \u2064to stay his earlier ruling.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Although this Preliminary Injunction involves numerous agencies, it is not as broad as it appears,&#8221; Judge Doughty wrote on July 10. &#8220;It \u2064only prohibits something the Defendants have no legal right\u2064 to do\u2014contacting \u200bsocial media companies \u200dfor\u200d the purpose of urging, \u200dencouraging, pressuring, or inducing in any manner, the removal,\u200c deletion, suppression, or reduction of\u2063 content containing <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/judge-bars-biden-press-secretary-from-flagging-posts-for-big-tech-to-censor-two-years-after-admin-bragged-about-it\/\" title=\"Judge prohibits Biden press secretary from flagging posts for Big Tech censorship, despite previous administration's pride in the practice.\">protected free speech posted<\/a> on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/breaking-markets-spooked-causing-problems-with-multiple-online-traders-and-trading-companies\/\" title=\"BREAKING: Markets Spooked Causing Problems with Multiple Online Traders and Trading Companies\">social-media platforms<\/a>.&#8221;<\/p>\n<div>\n<figure style=\"width:640px\" class=\"alignnone\"><figcaption>Rep. Jordan highlights panel's role in revealing government and Big Tech censorship.\">government \u200bagencies contacting social media \u2063platforms<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>According to Mr. Jordan, the Weaponization committee has\u2064 discovered\u200c &#8220;smoking gun&#8221; evidence of collaboration between Biden administration members and\u200c Meta, Facebook&#8217;s parent company. \u2062This \u200devidence includes the deletion of COVID-19 pandemic information, such as\u200d vaccine misinformation \u2064and the lab leak theory.<\/p>\n<p>One email reveals that Meta employees felt &#8220;under pressure&#8221;\u200d from the administration to suppress posts about the lab leak theory. Another email\u2062 indicates that an employee informed Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg and COO Sheryl Sandberg\u2064 about the\u2064 pressure to remove COVID-19 vaccine discouraging content.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;What&#8217;s most concerning to me is the attack the left now has on\u200d the First Amendment. You stop and think about every single right \u200cwe enjoy as Americans under the First Amendment has been assaulted over the last couple of years.
