During his time back in the capital, the \u200bpresident attended a public event honoring\u2064 the\u2062 2022\u200d World Series champions, the Houston Astros. However, the White House did not hold \u2062a briefing before Biden left for Arizona.<\/p>\n<h3>Inflation Complicates Biden&#8217;s Path Back to the White House<\/h3>\n<p>Throughout the week, Biden traveled to\u200b New Mexico and Utah, only \u2064returning to Washington, \u200dD.C. on Thursday evening. Yet again, the White\u200b House chose not to hold a\u2062 briefing on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>The\u2062 last official briefing with White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre took place on July \u200c27, just \u2063before\u2063 Biden&#8217;s trip to\u200b Maine. Since then, Jean-Pierre has only held two brief\u2063 gaggles aboard Air\u200d Force One,\u2064 one on the flight to Maine and the other on\u2064 the flight to Arizona.<\/p>\n<p>While it&#8217;s not uncommon \u2064for a president to take vacations and travel during the summer months,\u2063 the absence of a briefing on the same day\u200d Attorney General Merrick Garland announced the elevation of \u200dDavid Weiss \u2062to \u2063<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/white-house-avoiding-questions-from-press-as-biden-investigations-stack\/\" title=\"White House evades press inquiries amidst mounting Biden investigations.\">special\u2064 counsel overseeing federal\u200c investigations<\/a> into Hunter Biden&#8217;s tax and \u200dbusiness affairs is \u200craising eyebrows.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>&#8220;If Joe Biden never discussed business with his son,\u200d and he \u200dis mentally fit enough to serve as President, and he truly believes \u2063his policies are helping America \u2014 why won\u2019t he take questions from reporters? Honest people fight for the\u200c truth.&#8221; &#8211; Karoline Leavitt,\u200b MAGA Inc. spokeswoman<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>It&#8217;s worth noting that\u200c former President Donald Trump&#8217;s third White House press secretary, Stephanie Grisham, went nearly a year without holding\u2063 a press\u2062 briefing during her\u2062 tenure.<\/p>\n<p>The White House declined \u200bto comment on Weiss&#8217;s elevation\u2064 to special counsel, but President Biden himself dismissed a \u2062question\u200d about <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/propaganda-congressional-testimony-and-political-activist-jose-vega-joins\/\" title=\"Propaganda, Congressional Testimony and Political Activist Jose Vega Joins!\">recent congressional testimony<\/a> from Devon\u2062 Archer,\u200d a\u200d former business associate of Hunter Biden, during\u2063 his visit\u2064 to New\u2062 Mexico.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>&#8220;I\u2064 never talked business,&#8221; \u200cthe \u200cpresident \u200cresponded. &#8220;I \u2063knew you&#8217;d have a lousy\u2063 question.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Attorney General Garland announced the decision to \u200celevate\u200d Weiss after \u200chis request\u2064 for restructuring. Weiss had been \u2064the lead prosecutor in Hunter Biden&#8217;s tax and firearms \u2063case.\u2063 The president&#8217;s son had previously\u200c entered into a plea agreement, but \u2064it was thrown out in July due to\u200d disagreements over future immunity.
