report suggests a familiar name will emerge.\">unnamed source spoke<\/a> to a\u2064 \u201cforeign politician,\u201d and during the course of that conversation, it was revealed that \u2064this \u2063politician\u2019s government assumes that President Joe Biden\u2063 will \u200dnot make\u200c it to the\u2064 general election.<\/p>\n<p>Once Biden pulls out, this government \u200dexpects former first lady Michelle Obama to \u2064be the Democratic nominee for president.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s a wild scenario, but if \u200cit does happen, please remember that you\u200c read it\u2064 here first,\u201d The \u200bTelegraph\u2019s Tim Stanley hilariously wrote.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Apologies to \u200cMr.\u200b Stanley, but \u2062the idea of Michelle Obama being the 2024 Democratic nominee is hardly a new one; former Speaker of the House <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/newt-gingrich-warning-michelle-obama-key-staffer-departs-biden-admin\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Newt \u2062Gingrich<\/a> brought up this exact scenario back in \u2064May, as did The \u2064Western Journal founder \u2062 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/twj-founder-democratic-party-just-confirmed-michelle-obama-will-nominee-nobody-noticed\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Floyd Brown<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Even self-proclaimed \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/political-icon-says-michelle-obama-will-become-dem-nominee-president-vp-role-will-bought\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">political icon<\/a>\u201d\u200d Roger Stone brought up Michelle Obama\u2019s apparently looming presidency.<\/p>\n<p>Now in fairness to The Telegraph\u2019s Stanley, he does add some intriguing musings\u2062 of his own.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cThis anecdote confirms what I\u2019ve \u2062heard from UK\u200b sources, too: when governments engage\u2062 with Biden they feel \u2063they are dealing with the face of an administration \u200cbut not always the person\u2062 in charge,\u201d Stanley said. \u201cWere the Democrats \u2063to drop him\u2063 from their presidential ticket, the world would understand.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>With Vice President Kamala Harris <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/kamala-harris-incorrect-fact-checkers-cant-even-cover-false\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">clearly<\/a> not ready to \u2063assume any\u200d sort of mantle from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/biden-gets-brutal-wake-call-americans-give-lowest-approval-rating-yet-poll\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">wildly\u2064 unpopular<\/a> Biden, it does stand to reason that \u2064Democrats would have to look <em>somewhere<\/em> \u200dfor \u200ba 2024 general election.<\/p>\n<p>And \u200cgiven that their No. 1 guy, \u2062Barack\u2063 Obama \u2063is out\u2063 of presidential terms to \u2064serve (and is also\u2064 dealing with\u200b his own\u2063 set of, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/make-love-men-daily-redacted-portions-famous-obama-letter-uncovered-report\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ahem<\/a>, issues at the moment), who \u2062better\u2062 than the woman\u200c who shares his surname, Michelle \u200bObama?<\/p>\n<p>It is worth noting\u200c that Michelle <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/days-trump-announces-2024-run-michelle-obama-reveals-whether-run-president\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">vehemently<\/a> denied having \u200dany interest \u2062in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/not-capable-of-being-commander-in-chief-gop-reps-introduce-articles-of-impeachment-against-biden\/\" title=\"\u2018Not Capable Of Being Commander-In-Chief\u2019: GOP Reps Introduce Articles Of Impeachment Against Biden\">presidency back<\/a> in 2022, and that tune has not changed since.<\/p>\n<p>And yet, what does it say about the state of the current occupants of 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. that Democrats are so obviously and so tellingly thirsting after a woman who appears to have no\u2064 interest in what \u200bthey want from her?<\/p>\n<p>Nothing good, to be sure.<\/p>\n<h3>Polling\u2064 Data Paints\u2062 a Grim Picture<\/h3>\n<p>And \u200dthis isn\u2019t just Democrat\u2064 hand-wringing\u200c \u2014 the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/national-poll-says-biden-is-americas-least-popular-president-in-70-years\/\" title=\"Biden ranks as America's least popular president in 70 years, says national poll.\">polling data paints<\/a> a grim picture.<\/p>\n<p>Polling \u200cdata analysis site <a href=\"https:\/\/projects.fivethirtyeight.com\/polls\/president-general\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">FiveThirtyEight<\/a> shows that\u2062 both former President Donald Trump and \u2062President Joe Biden are\u200c locked in a pretty even\u2064 battle.<\/p>\n<p>A poll dated Aug. 7 from Premise \u2063has Trump up \u200danywhere from 4 to 7 points on the \u200cincumbent president.\u200c An Aug. 6 poll from Redfield &#038;\u2062 Wilton\u200c Strategies\u200d has Trump up\u200b 2 \u200bpoints on Biden.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, an Aug. 3 \u200dCygnal poll \u2064shows \u200dBiden beating \u200cTrump by 3 points. An Aug. 6 Morning Consult poll has Biden\u200d up a point on\u2062 Trump.<\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019re a Trump supporter, how is that anything other \u2064than incredible news? Think\u200d about it: As weaponized and spurious as these countless\u2063 charges and indictments against Trump \u200care, they\u2019re just not hurting\u200d him \u2064in the polls.<\/p>\n<p>For Biden\u2062 and his team, it can\u2019t engender\u200b much confidence knowing that this little scheme of theirs appears to have had \u2062the opposite of \u2063its intended effect.<\/p>\n<p>Now, it\u2019s certainly fair to debate if this is more Trump\u2019s surging popularity or\u200b Biden\u2019s abysmally sagging disapproval.
