Garrow said the letter was the most <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/two-killed-after-shooting-wounding-police-officer-during-traffic-stop-in-san-antonio\/\" title=\"Two Killed After Shooting, Wounding Police Officer During Traffic Stop In San Antonio\">surprising thing<\/a> \u200che learned about Obama.<\/p>\n<p>The \u2063New York\u2062 Post <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2023\/08\/12\/barack-obama-told-ex-i-make-love-to-men-daily-but-in-the-imagination\">reported<\/a> that the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/previously-redacted-email-between-peter-daszak-anthony-fauci-suddenly-sees-light-of-day\/\" title=\"Previously Redacted Email Between Peter Daszak, Anthony Fauci Suddenly Sees Light Of Day\">redacted portion<\/a> of the 1982 letter \u2014 which is \u200bowned by Emory University and no one is allowed to\u2064 photograph \u2014 was transcribed \u200cby\u200b Garrow\u2019s friend Harvey Klehr and sent \u200dto Garrow.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn regard to\u200b homosexuality, I must say that \u2062I\u2064 believe this is an attempt to remove oneself from the present, a refusal perhaps to perpetuate the endless farce\u2062 of \u2064earthly life,\u201d Obama wrote in 1982. \u2063\u201cYou see, I make love to men daily, but in the imagination.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Obama, \u200b21 years old at the time, \u2063said \u2062in\u2062 the letter to Alex McNear that\u2063 his mind was part male and part female.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy mind is androgynous to a\u2063 great\u200d extent and I hope to make it more so until I can \u200dthink in terms of people, not women as\u200b opposed to men,\u201d he said. \u201cBut, in returning to the body, I see that I have been made a man, \u200band physically in\u200d life, I choose to \u200caccept that\u200c contingency.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><b data-stringify-type=\"bold\"><\/b><\/p>\n<p>Garrow said that when he read Obama\u2019s book, \u201cDreams from My Father,\u201d he found the entire work \u200dto be \u201ca crock.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">\u201cIt\u2019s not history,\u201d \u2064he said. \u201cIt\u2019s all make-believe. Who knows what the real story is?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Garrow said that the first time \u2064he met Obama at the White \u200dHouse in the Oval Office, Obama had\u200c \u201cthis big \u2062pile of all his journals over the \u2064years.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd he\u2019s arranged it this way \u200con purpose\u2014to show me that he has them, and so he\u2064 can \u2063tell me that I can\u2019t see\u2064 them,\u201d he said. \u201cHe\u2019s got this big sack, I want to call it a cloth sack or a canvas sack, in\u200d the bottom of which are \u200bthe journals.\u2064 And then on the \u2063top of\u200b it is the typescript printout of my manuscript. So he\u2019s carrying them around together.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Garrow said that the materials Obama\u200c had included \u2064were his letters to and \u2062from one \u2063of his girlfriends and that they would likely never be \u2064made public. \u2063\u201cI wouldn\u2019t \u200cbe astonished if he burns\u2064 them,\u201d\u2063 he said.<\/p>\n<p>When asked why Obama did\u2062 not\u200d want anyone to see his journals and letters, Garrow said, \u201cHe wants \u2062people to believe his story.
