Grand Jury to \u200cMeet, DA Expected to Bring Dozen or More\u200b Charges<\/h2>\n<p>When \u2064a grand jury gathers in Fulton County, Georgia, this week, it will be generating national headlines.<\/p>\n<p>After a Democratic DA in Manhattan \u200band a Democratic-run Department of Justice have indicted former President Donald Trump on criminal charges\u2064 ranging from business bookkeeping to election fraud,\u2064 a Democrat in the Peach State is likely to add a fourth indictment to the list for Trump.<\/p>\n<p>And more than a dozen of his allies are expected to \u2064be charged, too.<\/p>\n<p>According to\u200b <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2023\/08\/12\/politics\/geoff-duncan-georgia-election-probe\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CNN<\/a>, former Georgia Lt. Gov. Geoff Duncan, a Republican, and independent journalist George Chidi\u200c have been called to testify as grand jury witnesses.<\/p>\n<p>CNN noted the appearances are a sign that Fulton County\u200c District Attorney Fani Willis \u2014 a Democrat \u2014 \u201cis moving forward with a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/the-walls-are-closing-in-ny-grand-jury-officially-dissolving-with-no-charges-against-trump\/\" title=\"The Walls Are Closing In! NY Grand Jury Officially Dissolving With No Charges Against Trump\">grand jury presentation<\/a> where she\u2019s\u200c expected to seek charges against more than a dozen people stemming from her investigation into the efforts to overturn the 2020 election.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>And while a\u200b grand jury presentation is a\u200b purely one-sided affair, where grand \u200cjurors hear only the prosecution present its case \u2014 the old <a href=\"https:\/\/abovethelaw.com\/2016\/02\/criminally-yours-indicting-a-ham-sandwich\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u201cham sandwich\u201d adage<\/a> applies \u2014 Willis isn\u2019t taking any chances, \u2064judging\u200d by the witnesses CNN identified.<\/p>\n<p>Duncan has\u2063 called Trump\u2019s post-2020 election activities in Georgia\u200b \u201cdangerous and pathetic,\u201d \u2064according to the liberal website <a href=\"https:\/\/www.huffpost.com\/entry\/geoff-duncan-pathetic-trump_n_64d1e2f4e4b0fa822c0b448c\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">HuffPo<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>And Chidi\u2019s billing \u2063as an \u201cindependent journalist\u201d is belied by his <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/neonflag\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">account on X<\/a>, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/the-new-acting-attorney-general-jeff-rosen-recently-wrote-an-essay-on-foreign-influence-in-us-elections-this-tells-us-a-little-about-his-knowledge-of-whats-going-on-today\/\" title=\"The New Acting Attorney General Jeff Rosen Recently Wrote an Essay on Foreign Influence in US Elections \u2013 This Tells Us A Little About His Knowledge of What\u2019s Going On Today\">social media platform<\/a> formerly known as Twitter,\u200c where his bent toward the political left is clear.<\/p>\n<p>Note this exchange with former Republican Sen.
