In response, Air China has\u2063 filed for permission to add a new weekly \u2064flight between Beijing and Los Angeles.<\/p>\n<p>Other airlines, such as China Eastern, Xiamen Airlines, and China Southern, also \u2062offer scheduled service to\u200d the United States. \u2063United Airlines, American\u2062 Airlines, and Delta Airlines currently operate passenger flights to China.<\/p>\n<p>United Airlines plans to increase its number of flights between the two countries, including resuming \u200dflights to Beijing and offering \u200cdaily flights to Shanghai.<\/p>\n<p>Airlines for America, \u200dan\u2062 industry trade\u200c group, sees\u200d this development\u2063 as a positive opportunity for U.S. airlines to compete in\u2064 the\u200d marketplace.<\/p>\n<p>The Chinese Embassy in \u200dWashington views this increase in flights as\u2062 a sign of increased cooperation between the two states, promoting mutual visits\u2062 and trade.<\/p>\n<h2>Blinken&#8217;s Trip to China<\/h2>\n<p>In mid-June, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken made a visit to China with three goals: establishing open communication channels for \u2064competition without\u200d conflict, advocating for\u2064 U.S. values and interests, and discussing regional and global security matters and cooperation.<\/p>\n<p>During his two-day trip, Blinken had a &#8220;robust conversation&#8221; \u200dwith\u2063 Chinese leader Xi Jinping and other top diplomats \u2063in Beijing.
