The report analyzed various factors such as slope, fuel source, surface composition, drought, and winds \u2062to assess the risk to\u2064 homes.<\/p>\n<p>According to the findings, California, Colorado, and Texas have\u200d higher concentrations of at-risk homes with disproportionate reconstruction cost\u200b values. California alone has nearly three\u2064 times the combined amounts of Colorado and Texas.\u200c Colorado has over 330,000 at-risk homes, estimated to cost \u2063around $141 billion to rebuild, while Texas has 233,000 homes at risk with a reconstruction cost of\u200d almost $86 billion.<\/p>\n<h3>Communities at High Risk<\/h3>\n<p>Communities located near forests, \u2064wildlands, and\u200c undeveloped areas face an increased risk of fire. Cities \u200din California such as Los Angeles, Riverside, and San Diego are particularly vulnerable. Los Angeles has over 240,000 homes totaling nearly $183 billion in reconstruction\u2064 costs, while Riverside has approximately 213,000\u200c houses costing almost $112\u2062 billion\u2063 to rebuild.
