Your feedback will help shape the future \u2063of\u2063 transportation in Orange County.<\/p>\n<p>While roads, highways, and \u200cbridges currently receive\u2062 the \u2064largest portion of federal\u200d transportation funding in Orange County, we are committed to considering\u200d a diverse range\u2064 of projects. For example, a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/orange-county-seeks-public-input-on-long-range-transportation-plan\/\" title=\"Orange County wants to hear from the public about its transportation plan.\">major highway improvement project<\/a> is underway for Exit 122 on\u2064 Route 17 \u2062in the Town of Wallkill, with an \u2064estimated cost of $80 million \u200dand completion expected by \u200d2025. Additionally, plans are in\u200d place to rehabilitate the interstate bridge over the Delaware River connecting\u200c Port \u200bJervis and Matamoras, with a budget ranging\u2062 from $15 to\u2062 $25 million.<\/p>\n<p>Most federal transportation funding comes from the Federal Highway Administration and Federal Transit Administration, with \u2064a requirement for \u200c20 percent\u2062 local matches.
