Weiss has been investigating Hunter for 4 years, giving \u2064him the \u2018sweetheart\u2019 deal of all sweetheart deals. But a \u2062brilliant \u200bJudge\u200b in Delaware saw through it all.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNow, I read, the \u2064Department of Injustice wants a new Judge and Jurisdiction,\u201d the former president added. \u201cBut so do I, with\u2064 far stronger reasons \u2063than Hunter &#038; Crooked Joe. MAGA!!!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Trump\u2062 joined a chorus of other leading Republicans who on Friday lambasted \u2063President Joe Biden\u2019s Department of\u2064 Justice after it was \u200bannounced that the federal prosecutor who offered \u2064presidential son Hunter Biden a \u201csweetheart\u201d plea deal had been <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/infographic-timeline-of-the-durham-investigation\/\" title=\"Infographic: Timeline of the Durham Investigation\">named special counsel<\/a> in the investigation into him.<\/p>\n<p>Attorney General \u2063Merrick Garland announced Friday \u200cmorning that Weiss now had the\u200d authority to conduct the Hunter Biden investigation as he sees fit.<\/p>\n<p>Weiss offered Hunter Biden a \u200dplea \u2062deal \u2063for tax and gun possession crimes that\u2062 fell apart at the eleventh hour when a judge refused to sign off on it last month.<\/p>\n<p>The proposed deal involved no jail time.<\/p>\n<h3>House Speaker Kevin \u200bMcCarthy weighed in on Garland\u2019s announcement on X, formerly \u2063Twitter.<\/h3>\n<p>\u201cThis\u200d action \u200bby Biden\u2019s\u2063 DOJ cannot be used to obstruct congressional investigations or whitewash the Biden family corruption,\u201d McCarthy said. \u201cIf Weiss negotiated the sweetheart deal that couldn\u2019t get approved, how can he be trusted as a Special Counsel?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHouse \u200bRepublicans will continue to pursue the facts for \u200bthe \u2063American people,\u201d\u2063 he added.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">This action \u2064by Biden\u2019s DOJ cannot be used to obstruct \u200bcongressional investigations or whitewash the\u200b Biden family corruption.<\/p>\n<p>If Weiss negotiated the sweetheart deal\u200c that couldn\u2019t get approved, how can he be trusted as a Special\u2064 Counsel?<\/p>\n<p>House Republicans will continue to pursue\u2026<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Kevin McCarthy (@SpeakerMcCarthy) \u200c <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/SpeakerMcCarthy\/status\/1690049403824807939?\">August 11, 2023<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>House \u200bMajority Leader Steve Scalise called Weiss\u2019 appointment \u201coutrageous.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDon\u2019t be fooled.
