The folds on its backside gave the impression that it might\u2063 actually be an\u2064 employee in an \u2062elaborate costume. This intriguing sight had many <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/whats-going-on-with-sun-bears-people-think-they-are-humans-in-suits\/\" title=\"Sun bears are causing confusion as some believe they are disguised humans.\">social media users convinced<\/a> that the creature was, in fact, a human in disguise.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>&#8220;He clocking out as soon as \u2064they leave,&#8221; \u2062one user quipped.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>However, according to ABC News, the zoo vehemently\u2062 denied these claims. The newspaper Hangzhou Daily stated, \u2063&#8221;Because of the way they stand, some people online\u2062 question whether they \u200bare &#8216;humans\u200b in disguise.'&#8221; Seeking expert opinion, The Washington Examiner reached out to Dr. Bosco Chan, the conservation director of WWF-Hong Kong,\u2062 to determine the authenticity of the\u200b zoo&#8217;s bears.<\/p>\n<h3>A \u200dGenuine Sun Bear<\/h3>\n<p>To the surprise of many, Dr. Chan concluded\u2063 that the bear featured in the video\u2064 is \u200bindeed a genuine \u200dsun bear. &#8220;From the gesture and\u200d appearance we observed from the \u2063online video, the animal is a genuine sun bear (Helarctos malayanus),&#8221; he confirmed. &#8220;It is actually not uncommon to see bears standing on their hind limbs. This is \u200btheir natural behavior even in the wild.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Addressing the peculiar folding skin\u2063 on the bear&#8217;s backside, Dr. Chan attributed\u2064 it to \u200bthe \u2062natural aging\u200b process rather than\u2062 a costume mishap. &#8220;The saggy skin\u2014it&#8217;s most likely an old \u200banimal losing its muscle; \u2062thus, \u200dthe skin is loose,&#8221; he explained.<\/p>\n<p>The sun bear possesses a unique appearance, closely related to other bear species but distinct in its own right.
