Gavin Newsom expressed excitement about the digital wallet during\u200c the state&#8217;s budget \u2064proposal. The first is\u200b a digital driver&#8217;s license called a &#8220;Mobile Driver&#8217;s License&#8221; or mDL. The TSA PreCheck\u2064 program accepts these IDs \u2062at various airports, including San Francisco, Los\u2062 Angeles, and San Jose International Airports.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Users can also add an age verification \u2062ID called\u200d TrueAge to the wallet. This allows them to prove their age\u200b for\u200b age-restricted purchases using a scannable QR code.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Currently, 16 \u200bbusinesses across California,\u2063 Colorado, Hawaii, Michigan, and Minnesota accept TrueAge for age verification.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">While the California DMV advises users to still carry a physical ID or driver&#8217;s license, the mDL provides an \u2062additional convenient option for identity verification. The DMV ensures\u200c that users can\u2062 share only necessary information, avoiding the disclosure of \u2064unnecessary details like their name or address.
