(Photo by Andrew Harnik-Pool\/Getty Images)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h2>OAN\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oann.com\/tag\/noah-herring\">Noah Herring<\/a><br \/>1:32 PM \u2013 Friday, August 11, 2023<\/h2>\n<p>Federal prosecutors involved in the Hunter Biden criminal case indicated on\u2062 Friday that a plea deal is unlikely to occur \u2063and the case will most likely be headed for trial. <\/p>\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-1663871513696-art-1\" style=\"min-width: 320px; min-height: 50px;  text-align: center;\">  \t<script>  \t\tgoogletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display('div-gpt-ad-1663871513696-art-1'); });  \t<\/script>  <\/div>\n<div class=\"ad-slot__ad-label\">Advertisement<\/div>\n<\/p>\n<p>In June, the DOJ announced a \u2064plea agreement for \u2064President Joe Biden\u2019s \u200bson\u200d over charges related to his filing of federal income taxes and his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/victims-blame-soros-backed-prosecutors-for-crime-wave-in-u-s-cities\/\" title=\"Victims Blame Soros-Backed Prosecutors for Crime Wave in U.S. Cities\">felony gun charge<\/a>. However, a federal \u200djudge in Delaware said she would not\u200d accept \u200bthe \u200cplea deal under the current conditions. <\/p>\n<p>Judge Maryellen Noreika\u200d requested that a new deal should be drafted that does not offer a broad immunity for other charges that are related to Hunter\u2019s business dealings. Biden then pleaded not guilty to two misdemeanor offenses for tax charges. <\/p>\n<p>The judge in the case ordered Hunter\u2019s lawyers to respond to the \u200cJustice Department\u2019s \u201cmotion \u200dto vacate his plea schedule by Monday at noon,\u201d according \u200dto Politico court reporter\u200d Kyle Cheney. <\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>\u201cDuring the\u200d July 26, 2023, hearing that the Court set on this matter, the Defendant pled not guilty,\u201d\u2062 prosecutors for U.S. attorney, now\u2064 special counsel, David Weiss said in a\u200d filing.\u2062 \u201cSince that time, the parties have \u200dengaged in \u2062further plea negotiations but are at an impasse.
