But Biden has for years \u200blashed out at reporters who have \u2064suggested Hunter Biden&#8217;s influence-peddling might be problematic.<\/p>\n<p>As recently as Wednesday, \u200cJoe Biden <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/latest-news\/watch-biden-lashes-out-at-reporter-for-question-about-hunters-business\/\">reprimanded<\/a> Fox News&#8217;s\u200c Peter Doocy for\u2064 asking\u200c him about testimony \u2064last week that he had often \u200cspoken with Hunter Biden&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/exclusive-joe-biden-participated-in-hunters-foreign-business-deals-blockbuster-new-book-reveals\/\" title=\"Exclusive: Joe Biden Participated In Hunter\u2019s Foreign Business Deals, Blockbuster New Book Reveals\">foreign business partners<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I never \u2062talked business with anybody. I knew you&#8217;d have \u2062a lousy question,&#8221; Joe Biden said.<\/p>\n<p>Now that Hunter Biden has his own special counsel, it could be harder for Biden to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/flashback-all-the-times-biden-berated-reporters-for-asking-about-hunter\/\" title=\"FLASHBACK: Biden's Repeated Scolding of Reporters Over Hunter Queries\">angrily dismiss questions<\/a> about his son as irrelevant. But, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CurtisHouck\/status\/1690042514223378433\">according to<\/a> critics, the move does not prove his administration is taking the scandal seriously.<\/p>\n<p>Former \u200dfederal prosecutor Andy McCarthy <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/video\/6333141055112\">told<\/a> Fox News on Friday: &#8220;This is the Biden \u200dJustice Department&#8217;s vehicle for maintaining control of an\u200c investigation that they are not pursuing.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>President Joe Biden has not addressed the appointment of a special counsel investigating his son.
