Garland agreed saying that it was &#8220;in the public interest&#8221; to do so. <\/p>\n<p>Contrary to Biden\u2019s \u2064defense lawyer\u2019s claims,\u2063 Weiss\u2019 appointment as\u2063 special \u2064counsel indicates\u2063 that an \u2063investigation into \u2063Hunter Biden is not over. <\/p>\n<p>House Judiciary Chairman Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) disagreed with the appointment in a\u2064 statement issued through\u200d a spokesman.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>\u201cDavid \u2064Weiss\u2064 can\u2019t be\u200c trusted and \u200cthis is just a new\u200b way to whitewash the Biden family\u2019s corruption.\u200c Weiss\u200b has already signed off on a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/buyer-of-hunter-bidens-artwork-gained-access-to-wh-13-times-landed-presidential-appointment\/\" title=\"Hunter Biden's art buyer visited the White House 13 times and secured a presidential appointment.\">sweetheart plea \u2062deal<\/a> that was so\u200b awful \u200dand unfair that a federal judge\u2063 rejected\u2064 it.
