Now\u2062 28 years old and \u2062a mother of two, Angel was preparing to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/judge-dismisses-murder-conviction-for-woman-who-allegedly-killed-a-man-when-she-was-13\/\" title=\"Judge dismisses murder conviction of woman accused of killing man at age 13.\">enter\u2064 nursing school<\/a> when she was arrested in 2018. She was\u200d convicted in 2019\u2063 of the murder of Franklin Bonner, \u2063who \u2064was found tied to a table and chair in his home, apparently killed\u200b during a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/shield-againt-thieves-alaska-man-with-legal-pistol-stopped-attempted-robbery\/\" title=\"\u2018Shield Againt Thieves\u2019: Alaska Man With Legal Pistol Stopped Attempted Robbery\">robbery attempt<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cA conviction\u200d does not always mean \u2064justice,\u201d Hamilton County District Attorney Coty Wamp said after the charges were dismissed. \u201cThe way that Mr.\u2062 Bonner was duct taped and killed in \u2062the ransacking \u200dof the home. In the\u2062 state\u2019s opinion, it is\u200d virtually impossible \u2062that \u200ca 13-year-old girl\u2063 could \u200chave\u2064 done this alone.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>At the time\u200c of Bonner\u2019s murder, Angel\u2062 would have been \u206313 years\u2064 old,\u2064 5 feet tall, and just 80 pounds in weight. She told police\u2062 she didn\u2019t\u2063 know anything \u2064about Bonner\u2019s death and\u200c that\u2062 she never met him \u200bor had been in his \u200chome.<\/p>\n<p>Along with Angel, a\u200d man named Mallory Vaughn was also arrested \u2064for Bonner\u2019s murder. However, the charges against Vaughn were dropped \u2063due to a lack \u2063of evidence.\u200d The case took\u2063 a \u200ccomplicated turn \u200dwhen it\u2062 was revealed that the cousin of Vaughn,\u2063 who was in federal prison for a bank robbery,\u200d had\u200b initially \u200bclaimed that Vaughn had admitted to burglarizing Bonner\u2019s home and binding the victim. \u2062However, the \u200dcousin later changed his \u2063story and said he had learned of\u200d the case through Detective Karl Fields, the \u2063<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/convicted-of-a-murder-she-allegedly-committed-when-she-was-13-angel-bumpass-now-gets-a-new-trial\/\" title=\"Convicted Of A Murder She Allegedly Committed When She Was 13, Angel Bumpass Now Gets A New Trial\">original lead detective<\/a> \u2063on the \u2063case who was later accused of misconduct. The charges against Vaughn were \u200cultimately dropped.<\/p>\n<p>Both Mallory Vaughn and Angel\u2062 Bumpass claimed they didn\u2019t know each other, yet \u200bthey \u2064were tried together. \u200cThe prosecution argued that Angel\u2019s fingerprints on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/sen-amy-klobuchar-introduces-big-tech-antitrust-bill-proposal\/\" title=\"Sen.
