However, the majority of those polled, 77%, expressed their support for Trump. The survey conducted by J.L. Partners also found that 6% would \u200dvote for President Joe Biden, 10% would \u200dchoose \u200banother candidate,\u200d 2% would abstain from voting, and 5% were unsure about their decision.<\/p>\n<h3>Concerns about Trump&#8217;s \u200dpotential imprisonment<\/h3>\n<p>The research further discovered that \u2063nearly 40% of the likely caucusgoers\u200c believed Trump should withdraw from the race if he is\u200b convicted of federal crimes and imprisoned. On the\u2062 other\u200c hand, 48% stated that they would continue to support the \u200bformer president even if he is incarcerated, while 12% were\u2062 undecided.<\/p>\n<p>J.L. Partners, a Republican polling firm, conducted the survey from August 1 to 7, interviewing 600 likely caucusgoers. The margin of error for the poll is plus or minus 4 points. Trump was arraigned for the third time on August 3, pleading not guilty to charges brought\u2064 against him by special\u2062 counsel Jack Smith, which relate to his alleged attempts to overturn the 2020 election.
