Now, I may not be a fan of \u200dMegan Thee Stallion&#8217;s music,\u2062 but when\u200c it \u2062comes to justice, we need to ask ourselves: is this truly fair?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Before we delve into the details, let&#8217;s provide some background \u200binformation. \u2064In\u2064 2020, Lanez and Megan Thee \u200bStallion \u2064were dating when an incident occurred. After leaving a party at Kylie Jenner&#8217;s house, an argument broke \u200bout between the couple. As Megan \u200dwas\u2062 getting out of \u2063the car, Lanez pulled out\u200d a\u200b firearm\u200b and started shooting at her feet, ultimately hitting her. The evidence seemed clear, with Megan&#8217;s best friend immediately\u200c texting\u2063 for help. But as the trial\u2062 unfolded,\u200d it became apparent that not everyone saw it that way.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>Black Americans&#8217; Surprising Support for Lanez<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">When news of the incident broke, I was shocked\u2064 to see many black Americans defending Lanez,\u2062 claiming \u2064his\u2064 innocence. How could they stand behind someone who had clearly shot \u200da black \u2063woman? These were the same individuals who spoke out against injustice \u2063and \u200dwrongs done to \u200d<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/dems-lost-all-credibility-on-social-distancing-after-biden-celebrations\/\" title=\"Dems Lost All Credibility On Social Distancing After Biden Celebrations\">black people<\/a>. He even went as far \u2063as \u2064spinning a conspiracy theory, accusing Megan of\u200b lying about \u200cbeing shot. In his music, he \u2064mocked her, questioning how she could be shot in the foot \u200cwithout hitting any bones \u200cor tendons. Yet, the doctors&#8217;\u200c testimonies confirmed that she was indeed shot, with\u2062 bullet fragments extracted from her foot \u2063and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/what-is-justice-in-america-today\/\" title=\"What is justice in America today?\">subsequent physical therapy required<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Megan Thee Stallion\u2064 faced a barrage of disbelief and accusations of lying. It seemed that, in the eyes of \u2063some, black men could do no wrong, even\u200c when they committed such a heinous \u2062act. The prosecutor sought a significant\u200d sentence\u200d for\u2064 Lanez due to his public harassment and refusal to admit guilt. Lanez \u2063had \u200cweaponized misinformation on \u2063social media to turn public \u2063opinion against Megan. Yet, despite all this, he was\u2063 only \u200csentenced to \u206310 years.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">If you believe this is justice, \u2064then you haven&#8217;t been paying attention to the state of affairs in America. The comments on social media \u2063following the sentencing were shocking. Some dismissed the shooting as insignificant, questioning why Megan was making a\u200c fuss about being shot in \u200bthe foot. \u2063Others claimed there was virtually no evidence, accusing Megan of perjury. It&#8217;s disheartening to witness \u2064such\u2064 disregard\u2064 for the truth and the pain she endured.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>The Distorted State of Justice<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">So, what does this say \u2062about\u2064 the state of\u2063 justice in\u200b America\u200d today? It seems that true justice is elusive, especially in inner-city communities. While there is a push for social justice, it often \u200bfalls short of delivering real justice.
