Despite his strong lead in numerous primary polls, Trump has not confirmed whether he will participate in the debate.<\/p>\n<p>During the interview, Trump revealed\u2062 another\u200b concern \u200dhe has regarding the debate. He\u2062 stated, &#8220;I have a problem with the debate for another reason. I wouldn&#8217;t sign the pledge.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The\u2064 Republican National Committee has made it clear that one of the requirements for participating in the debates is the commitment to support the party&#8217;s eventual nominee. Republican Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has already signed the pledge earlier in the day.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Just in: Governor DeSantis has officially signed \u2062the 2024 GOP \u200bloyalty pledge. He stated, &#8220;Why would I sign a pledge? There are people on there that I wouldn&#8217;t have. I wouldn&#8217;t have \u200dcertain people\u200d as, you know, somebody that I&#8217;d endorse.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>When asked if he would share the names of candidates he could never support, Trump declined, stating, &#8220;I\u2063 don&#8217;t wanna do \u2062that, there&#8217;s no\u200c reason to insult them, but \u200dthere are some people there that a lot of people wouldn&#8217;t\u2063 endorse.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Trump \u2062also expressed his\u2062 reservations about debating candidates who are not resonating with primary \u200bvoters. He mentioned individuals \u200clike Asa Hutchinson and Chris Christie, who have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/media-critics-turning-on-kamala-harris-as-staff-flee-to-the-exits\/\" title=\"Media Critics Turning on Kamala Harris as Staff Flee to the Exits\">low polling numbers<\/a> and may ask him\u200b &#8220;nasty questions.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>However, Trump\u200d did offer praise for two individuals who will be on\u2062 the debate stage in two weeks in Milwaukee. He said, &#8220;I mean, Tim Scott \u2063has been very nice, and Ramaswamy \u2062has been very, very nice. I mean, these are, you\u2062 know,\u200d very capable \u2063people, very good people.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Despite his current lead in \u200cthe polls, Trump acknowledged that previous presidents like \u2064Ronald Reagan and Richard Nixon did not \u200d<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/theres-1-thing-donald-trump-wont-do-in-the-race-for-president\/\" title=\"Donald Trump has one exception in his presidential campaign.\">sign similar pledges<\/a>. He stated, &#8220;But why \u2062would you do that when you&#8217;re leading by so much? Ronald Reagan didn&#8217;t do it, Nixon didn&#8217;t do it \u2014 many people didn&#8217;t do it.
