Instead, attorney Todd\u200c Blanche entered the not-guilty plea \u200con\u200d his behalf.<\/p>\n<p>Blanche appeared before U.S.\u200d District Judge Shaniek Mills Maynard \u2064during the \u2063brief hearing.<\/p>\n<p>Trump had already pleaded not guilty to dozens of other\u200d charges in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/judge-presiding-trump-documents-case-smacks-special-counsel-jack-smith\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the case<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>New charges were brought against\u2064 the\u200b former president and leading 2024 GOP contender and his longtime aide Walt Nauta as part\u200c of a superseding indictment introduced two weeks ago.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/matt-gaetz-outlines-bold-plan-give-trump-immunity-jack-smiths-cases\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Smith<\/a> accused Trump, Nauta, and Mar-a-Lago employee Carlos De \u200dOliveira \u2064of \u2063deleting surveillance footage at the resort and Trump\u2019s private Florida residence in \u2062order to conceal it from a grand jury.<\/p>\n<p>Nauta also entered a plea of not guilty, while De Oliveira will \u200chave to \u2064wait \u2062to enter a \u2064plea until he finds legal representation.<\/p>\n<p>Trump and \u2063Nauta were charged with conspiracy to obstruct justice.<\/p>\n<p>The former president was also hit with an additional charge related to the Espionage Act, bringing the\u200c total \u200bfelony\u200b charges to 40.<\/p>\n<p>When the additional charges in the documents case were announced July\u2063 27, Trump\u2019s campaign attacked President Joe Biden and\u2064 the DOJ.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/regulation\/court-battles\/4123941-trump-charged-with-trying-to-delete-mar-a-lago-surveillance-footage-in-new-indictment\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Hill<\/a> \u2063 reported the campaign issued a statement describing the charges as \u201cnothing\u200c more than a continued desperate and flailing attempt by the \u200dBiden Crime Family and their Department of Justice to harass President Trump and those \u200baround him.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDeranged Jack Smith knows that they have no case\u2062 and is casting about\u2062 for any way to salvage their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/robert-mueller-to-teach-course-on-his-trump-investigation\/\" title=\"Robert Mueller to Teach Course on His Trump Investigation\">illegal witch hunt<\/a> and to get someone other than Donald Trump to run against Crooked Joe Biden,\u201d it said.<\/p>\n<p>Smith alleges Nauata and De Oliveira worked to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/trump-enters-his-plea-for-latest-document-charges-brought-by-jack-smith\/\" title=\"Trump pleads in response to new document charges by Jack Smith.\">clear security camera\u200b footage<\/a> \u200bat Trump\u2019s Mar-a-Lago residence in Palm Beach\u200b at the direction of the former president.<\/p>\n<p>Trump has been \u200dindicted three \u200ctimes\u2063 this year \u2014 twice by Smith and once by Manhattan District Attorney <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/alvin-braggs-office-suffers-big-loss-case-donald-trump\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Alvin \u2062Bragg<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In\u2063 two federal indictments\u200d related\u2062 to the alleged mishandling of classified documents and to Smith\u2019s case related to the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol incursion, Trump has\u2063 been <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/need-know-three-indictments-trump-facing\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">charged<\/a> with a total of 44 felonies \u2014 40 in \u200dthe classified documents case and four \u2064in\u2063 the 2020 election case.<\/p>\n<p>In New York City,\u2063 the former president is charged with 34\u2062 felony counts of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/indicting-trump-will-usher-in-americas-banana-republic-stage\/\" title=\"Indicting Trump Will Usher In America\u2019s Banana-Republic Stage\">allegedly falsifying business records<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Trump is scheduled\u200d to be on trial\u200d in each \u200ccase next \u200dyear as states hold their respective primaries and as he <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/trump-handed-good-news-indictment-lead-gop-primary-now-insurmountable-poll\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">leads<\/a> a crowded field of\u200b candidates.<\/p>\n<p>The former president also\u200b could \u2064face charges in Georgia: Reports have \u200bindicated an indictment from Fulton County \u200cDistrict Attorney <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/georgia-prosecutor-expected-seek-dozen-indictments-next-week-trump-case-report\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fani
