He\u200d expressed his dissatisfaction\u2063 with both major parties and his\u2064 desire to have an\u2064 independent voice.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cI would think very seriously about that.\u2063 I\u2019ve been thinking about that for \u200dquite some time. I haven\u2019t made any decisions whatsoever on any of my \u200dpolitical\u2063 direction,\u201d Manchin said when\u2063 pressed to\u200c clarify his position.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI want to make sure my voice is truly an independent voice, when I\u2019m speaking,\u2064 I\u2019m speaking about the \u2063good the Republicans\u2062 do \u2062and \u200bthe \u200cgood the Democrats continue to do,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Up for re-election in 2024, Manchin \u200cmay face a strong\u2064 challenger in Governor Jim\u2064 Justice. A recent poll showed Justice defeating Manchin\u2064 by\u2064 22 points in a hypothetical face-off. However, Manchin has not yet announced whether he will seek another term in the Senate and has even expressed \u200dopenness to\u2063 a third<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/speculation-grows-over-manchin-launching-third-party-challenge-to-biden\/\" title=\"Speculation Grows Over Manchin Launching Third-Party Challenge to Biden\">-party campaign<\/a> for the White House in 2024.<\/p>\n<p>Last\u2063 December, Manchin stated that he had no intention of\u200d leaving the Democratic Party at that time but indicated he would consider \u2063it.
