Biotechnology entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy follows with 5% support, while former\u200b Vice President Mike Pence, former United Nations Ambassador Nikki \u2062Haley, and former\u2062 New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie each \u200dhave 3% support. Gov. Doug\u2062 Burgum\u200b (R-ND) rounds out the list\u2062 with 2% support.<\/p>\n<h3>DeSantis\u200d Performs Well Against Trump, \u2064Scott Gains Momentum<\/h3>\n<p>Despite Scott&#8217;s impressive momentum, DeSantis\u2063 performs better \u2063when pitted against Trump. In a head-to-head matchup, Trump maintains 48% support compared to DeSantis&#8217;s\u2063 35%, with 17%\u2064 remaining undecided. On the other hand, \u200cTrump leads with 54% support against Scott&#8217;s 34%,\u200b leaving 12% undecided.<\/p>\n<p>The poll, conducted \u200dfrom Aug. 1 to 7 among 600 likely Republican caucusgoers, carries a margin of error of plus or minus 4 points. It is worth noting that Trump was arraigned for the third time on Aug. 3, appearing in \u2063a federal court in Washington to plead not guilty to charges \u200cbrought against him by special counsel\u200b Jack Smith \u2064regarding his alleged efforts to overturn the 2020 election.<\/p>\n<p>According\u2063 to RealClearPolitics, \u2063Trump maintains an\u200d average of 44% support in\u2064 Iowa, \u2064followed by DeSantis with 17%,\u200c Scott with\u2062 10%, Ramaswamy with 5%, \u200dHaley with 4%, Pence and Christie with 3%, and Burgum \u200dwith 2%.<\/p>\n<p>While\u2062 Iowa has not always been\u2063 determinative in\u2064 primary contests, it \u200dremains a crucial \u2064battleground.
