So, the fact is, more women\u200b have come\u200c in at\u200b entry\u2064 level positions than men, and most of the men have more\u200c experience and higher standing. So, naturally \u200dthe men will be getting paid more.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>But these are exactly the sort of facts that progressives\u200b usually completely ignore when \u2063they rail about the supposed \u2062 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/pay-gap-myth-ignores-womens-intentional-job-choices\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u201cpay gap\u201d<\/a> in America today.<\/p>\n<p>Indeed, \u2063a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/cea\/written-materials\/2023\/06\/21\/on-anniversary-of-equal-pay-act-signs-of-progress-and-remaining-challenges-for-women-in-the-labor-market\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">June article<\/a> on the White House\u2019s \u200down website, the \u2063Council of Economic Advisers said \u200cthat\u2064 \u201camong all wage and salary workers usually\u2062 working\u200b full-time, a woman made just 83 cents for every dollar paid to a man.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Journal scoffed about this, though, and blasted Biden for his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/biden-fire-typical-leftist-hypocrisy-menu-choice-first-state-dinner\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">hypocrisy<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cWait, \u2062if Mr. Biden pays only 80 cents on the dollar, does that mean his White \u2064House \u200cis three percentage\u2063 points more structurally\u2064 sexist than the labor \u2063market writ large? We\u2019d love to hear \u200dhis reply to that\u2064 one, since\u200d Mr. Biden\u2019s rhetoric\u200c about \u2018equity\u2019 leaves\u200d no room for nuance,\u201d the outlet \u2063wrote.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The Journal added that\u2063 liberals love\u2063 to take a 1-to-1 approach without adjusting for education, job experience, or market forces. And then\u200c they use those flawed statistics to \u200bclaim that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/ap-harris-wants-to-fine-companies-that-pay-men-more-than-women\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">women make less<\/a> because of \u201csexism\u201d in \u2064society. That same article\u200b by the \u2062White\u200c House Council\u2064 of Economic\u200c Advisers,\u2063 for instance, said that \u201cwomen with post-secondary degrees face\u2064 a \u2064larger penalty\u2062 than the \u2064overall pay \u200cgap.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>But the\u200d Journal has a rejoinder to that proclamation.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cThe range in graduate education \u2064is massive, from\u2063 a master\u2019s in social work, to\u2062 a medical or law degree, \u2062to a Ph.D\u2064 in bioengineering. Lumping all\u2064 these\u2063 people together and then \u200bcutting the data \u200dset by\u2062 gender is \u200dnot a way\u200d to understand what\u2019s truly going on in the\u200b world,\u201d the Journal wrote.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\u201cIf \u200bit were,\u201d the paper said in\u200b a jab at both \u200dfeminists and Joe Biden, \u2062\u201cfeminists should be running \u2064Mr. Biden out of town on a rail.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>But Biden is given credit \u200bfor his stern words\u200c about the pay gap, nonetheless.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/white-house-gender-pay-gap-extends-despite-biden-pledge-address-issue\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fox News<\/a> pointed \u2062out that during a March event at the\u200c White House to \u200d<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/women-make-20-less-than-men-in-bidens-white-house-despite-his-pledge-to-address-the-issue\/\" title=\"Despite Biden's promise to tackle the issue, women in his White House still earn 20% less than men.\">mark \u201cnational \u200dequal pay\u2064 day<\/a>,\u201d Biden said \u200bhe was \u201cworking\u200d to change\u201d the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/rob-schneider-tells-wage-gap-joke\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">wage gap<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI call \u200dupon all Americans to recognize the\u2064 full value of women\u2019s skills and their significant contributions to the labor force, acknowledge the injustice of wage inequality and \u2062join efforts to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/hope-solo-megan-rapinoe-bullied-soccer-teammates-to-protest-anthem\/\" title=\"Hope Solo: Megan Rapinoe Bullied Soccer Teammates To Protest Anthem\">achieve equal pay<\/a>,\u201d Biden said.<\/p>\n<p>In another instance, in a <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/POTUS\/status\/1635713664782041095\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">March 14\u200d tweet<\/a>, Biden \u200bclaimed, \u201cWomen \u2063lose thousands of dollars each year, and hundreds of thousands\u200d over \u200da \u200clifetime, because\u2062 of gender and racial wage \u2064gaps. I\u2019m committed to building an economy where \u200dmy daughters have the same rights and\u2063 opportunities\u200c as my sons.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Charlotte, \u2063I couldn\u2019t agree \u2063more.<\/p>\n<p>Women \u200blose thousands of dollars each year, and hundreds\u200d of thousands over a lifetime, because of\u2062 gender and racial wage gaps.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m committed \u2062to building \u200dan economy where my daughters have the same \u2062rights \u2062and opportunities as my sons. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/0vholYMTaR\">pic.twitter.com\/0vholYMTaR<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 President Biden\u200d (@POTUS) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/POTUS\/status\/1635713664782041095?\">March 14, 2023<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Despite all that jawing,\u200d all his efforts didn\u2019t go to ending the pay gap \u200cin his own offices.<\/p>\n<p>Perry\u2062 has reviewed this\u2062 pay gap of White House salaries \u200camong \u2063the staff\u2062 of several past presidents. And in 2016 he found that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/major-hypocrisy-obama-listers-flocking-google-summit-climate-change-private-jets-yachts-helicopters\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Barack Obama<\/a> \u2014 another self-proclaimed progressive \u200cpresident \u2014 also had a pay gap. \u2062At the time, \u2064 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aei.org\/carpe-diem\/glass-ceiling-at-the-obama-white-house-female-staffers-earn-8270-and-10-75-less-than-their-male-counterparts\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Obama \u2062was paying<\/a> his female staffers almost 11 percent less\u2062 than his male staffers.<\/p>\n<p>The researcher pointed out in that\u2064 article that Obama\u2019s female staffers had to \u2063work \u2063an additional 30 days into the next year\u2064 to earn the same salary\u200b as the \u2063typical male staffer earned in a current year.<\/p>\n<p>Granted, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aei.org\/carpe-diem\/based-on-median-salaries-gender-pay-gap-at-trump-white-house-is-almost-2x-37-what-the-media-are-reporting-20\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Perry found<\/a> that Trump also had\u200c a pay gap,\u2063 but Trump wasn\u2019t running \u2063around claiming to be a champion of strict\u200d equal pay.<\/p>\n<p>The point is, \u200bthese Democrats swoop into office making \u200dtheir usual progressive\u200b proclamations about\u200b championing\u2063 equal pay for women but \u200bnever seem to\u200b make any real \u200deffort \u2063to \u201ccorrect\u201d this evil sin in their\u200d own \u200doffices. \u2063It\u2019s \u2063all \u200djust so \u2062typical of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/sen-kyrsten-sinema-calls-hypocrisy-fellow-democrats-objects-push-eliminate-filibuster\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Democrat hypocrisy<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The post <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/women-make-20-less-men-bidens-white-house-despite-pledge-address-issue\/\">Women Make 20% Less Than \u2064Men in \u200dBiden&#8217;s White House Despite His\u200b Pledge to Address the Issue<\/a> \u200dappeared first \u200con <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\">The Western Journal<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Leftists often use the gender pay gap as a divisive issue, accusing women of earning less than men.
