The\u2062 elder Biden himself \u200bhas\u2064 called allegations of \u200bcorruption \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2023\/06\/08\/fbi-tip-says-burisma-bribed-bidens-prez-asks-wheres-the-money\/\">a bunch of malarkey<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>According to the memo, bank records show that oligarchs from Russia, \u200dUkraine, and Kazakhstan paid millions of dollars to\u2064 Hunter Biden, his Rosemont Seneca entities, and his business partner Devon Archer\u2062 \u2014 in some cases for \u2062work\u2063 services (such\u2064 as his board role at Ukrainian energy\u200b company <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/topic\/burisma\">Burisma<\/a> \u200d Holdings), in other cases \u200cless clear \u2014 mainly a time when Joe \u2063Biden was vice president.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cIt appears no\u200c real services were provided other than access \u200bto the Biden network, including Joe Biden himself. And\u200c Hunter Biden seems to \u200chave delivered,\u201d Oversight\u200d Chairman <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/topic\/james-comer\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">James Comer<\/a> (R-KY) said in a statement. \u201cThis is made clear,\u201d Comer added, by meals at Caf\u00e9 Milano in Washington, D.C., where \u2063then-Vice President Joe Biden \u201cdined with oligarchs from around the world\u2064 who \u2062had sent\u200d money to his son.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>In\u200c a recent appearance\u200b before the House Oversight Committee, Archer testified to\u200c Biden attending\u200d dinners with his son\u2019s\u200c business partners, <a href=\"https:\/\/oversight.house.gov\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/Devon-Archer-Transcript.pdf\">as shown \u200din a lightly redacted transcript<\/a> \u2064released by the panel. Archer indicated\u200d that Joe Biden \u2064did not discuss anything of consequence during these meals or in \u2064calls \u2064with Hunter\u2019s associates, though he repeatedly emphasized\u200c how the Biden\u200d family \u201cbrand\u201d went a long way in their ventures.<\/p>\n<h3>Democrats and White House Respond<\/h3>\n<p>Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD), \u2064the top Democrat on \u2064the Oversight Committee, reacted\u200d to the new \u200bmemo by\u200d insisting that\u2063 his GOP colleagues\u200c have \u201conce again\u2062 released information on financial transactions that do not involve\u201d the president, <a href=\"https:\/\/themessenger.com\/politics\/house-republicans-release-bank-records-showing-foreign-payments-to-hunter-biden\">according to The Messenger<\/a>. \u201cInstead, they rehash the same Hunter Biden business \u2063dealings \u2062that Congressional Republicans identified at\u200b least three years ago,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>Kate Berner, \u200bthe White House\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.axios.com\/2023\/05\/15\/scoop-biden-communications-deputy-leave\">former<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/kamala-harris-loses-another-top-aide-as-exodus-continues\/\" title=\"Kamala Harris Loses Another Top Aide as Exodus Continues\">principal deputy communications director<\/a>, also <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/KateBerner\/status\/1689351049075650560\">pointed to<\/a> the assertion that the memo \u200cdoes not show a direct payment to the president.<\/p>\n<h3>Continued Investigation and\u200d Allegations<\/h3>\n<p>Comer has said <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/comer-plans-to-bring-in-key-witnesses-in-biden-family-probe\">at least 20<\/a> \u201csham\u201d companies \u2064and complicated financial transactions have been used to hide money funneled to members of the \u200bBiden family.\u200b His staff said the\u2064 Oversight \u2064Committee has subpoenaed six different banks aimed \u2063at individuals and companies \u2062associated with Biden family\u2063 members and their business associates, leading to the production \u2064of thousands\u200b of records.<\/p>\n<p>In\u2062 the new memo, GOP oversight staff also said the \u2063committee \u201chas not yet subpoenaed bank records of members of the Biden family.\u201d The memo\u2062 additionally noted that the panel aims to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/house-oversight-releases-memo-alleging-hunter-biden-received-millions-from-oligarchs\/\" title=\"House Oversight memo claims Hunter Biden received millions from oligarchs.\">craft \u201clegislative solutions\u201d geared<\/a>\u2062 toward shoring \u200bup\u2062 ethics laws and rules governing the disclosure of financial interests.<\/p>\n<p>GOP oversight staff, who have released <a href=\"https:\/\/oversight.house.gov\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Bank-Records-Memo-3.16.23.pdf\">two<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/oversight.house.gov\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/Bank-Memorandum-5.10.23.pdf\">other<\/a> bank memos\u200c this year, further stated that the\u200b committee has now identified over $20 million in payments\u200d from foreign sources \u2014 including China \u2014 to the Biden\u200c family and their\u2063 business associates.
