The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/white-house-releases-list-of-president-trumps-accomplishments-and-it-is-historic\/\" title=\"White House Releases List of President Trump\u2019s Accomplishments \u2013  And It Is Historic!\">national park<\/a> itself\u2063 is only 1.2 million \u200dacres.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPreserving these lands is \u200bgood not \u200conly \u200dfor Arizona, but for the planet,\u201d Biden said \u2064at the park \u200don Tuesday, adding the Grand Canyon \u2064is \u201cone of \u2062Earth\u2019s nine\u2062 wonders \u2014 wonders of \u2062the \u2064world.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Except there are \u2064seven, and the Grand \u200dCanyon is not among them.<\/p>\n<p><strong>[READ:[READ:<a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/03\/08\/heres-the-full-list-of-every-lie-joe-biden-has-told-as-president-part-three\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Here\u2019s The Full List Of Every Lie Joe Biden \u2063Has Told As\u2062 President: 242 And Counting<\/a>]<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>With five new national monuments\u200d established \u200bduring his presidency, \u200bBiden has made a habit of\u2062 wielding the 1906 Antiquities Act to\u2063 cut off federal lands from local use and development. In October 2021, President Biden also placed millions of acres under monument protection with \u2063the reinstatement of Obama-era \u200bboundaries at Utah\u2019s Bears Ears National Monument and Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument. Together, the two monuments protect more\u2063 than 3 million acres, a region larger\u200c than neighboring Zion and Bryce Canyon\u2062 national parks combined.<\/p>\n<p>The\u200b Antiquities\u200b Act, however, \u2062was never intended to authorize the president to establish quasi-national parks without congressional approval. The first monument preserved under the law was Devil\u2019s Tower in Wyoming at the \u2062direction of President Theodore Roosevelt, who ordered less than 1,200 acres under\u200c added layers \u2062of federal protection.<\/p>\n<p>The law passed\u200d by Congress\u2062 maintains three requirements violated \u200cby President Biden\u2019s serial designation of millions of acres with monumental \u200dstatus. One, there \u2064must be an\u2064 object to be \u200bprotected,\u200b whether it\u2019s geologic, historic, or prehistoric. Two, the \u2063monument itself must be on federal land. Three, the land to go under protection must be \u201cthe <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/utah-sues-biden-administration-over-aggressive-land-grab-at-two-national-monuments\/\" title=\"Utah Sues Biden Administration Over Aggressive Land Grab At Two National Monuments\">smallest area compatible<\/a> with the proper care and \u200dmanagement \u2062of the objects to \u2062be protected.\u201d \u200dThe one-million acres in northwest\u2064 Arizona now under monument protection can hardly be considered the \u201csmallest \u2062area compatible\u201d with conserving \u200bdelicate artifacts and\u2062 relics.<\/p>\n<p>Utah Republican\u2064 Sen. Mike Lee \u200cpointed \u2063out on X, the website formerly\u2063 known as Twitter, that Western states often \u200dbear the burden of Washington\u2019s aggressive land grabs. More than 90 percent of federal land is\u200b west of the Mississippi River. Biden has declared his\u200b mission\u200b of locking off 30 \u2062percent of the\u2062 nation\u2019s land and waterways\u200d by 2030\u2064 a top priority for the\u2063 administration.<\/p>\n<p>Senator Lee called the president\u2019s designation of the Baaj Nwaavjo I\u2019tah Kukveni Grand \u2064Canyon as a national monument a \u201cblatant\u2063 misuse\u200b of the Antiquities Act.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNot only will\u2062 the decision negatively impact our local grazers, \u200dminers,\u2063 and other constituents whose livelihoods are deeply\u200b intertwined with \u200bthis region,\u201d Lee \u2063said, \u201cbut it will tie up one\u2063 of our few domestic resources of uranium, a \u2062critical component in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/bidens-designation-of-million-acre-monument-is-blatant-abuse-of-presidential-power\/\" title=\"Biden's Monument Designation: Clear Presidential Power Abuse\">carbon-free <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/brexit-trade-deal-published-as-uk-calls-for-end-to-ugly-divisions\/\" title=\"Brexit trade deal published as UK calls for end to \u2018ugly\u2019 divisions\">nuclear energy<\/a> production<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The designation of the area \u2062as a\u2064 national monument will thwart plans to mine uranium in the region. \u200dThe Department of the Interior \u200dalready implemented a\u2062 20-year moratorium on \u2062new\u2062 mining \u200cclaims in\u200b the area when\u200c Biden \u200cwas\u2064 vice president in\u200b 2012. \u200bThe region\u2019s\u2062 new status will make the moratorium indefinite.<\/p>\n<p>The elimination of\u200b domestic mining opportunities, specifically for uranium, risks long-term threats to economic stability and national security. According to the\u2064 Energy Information Administration (EIA), nearly half of \u2064the \u2062nation\u2019s uranium is \u2062sourced from \u2063either Russia or Kazakhstan, a close Russian ally.<\/p>\n<p>Nearly 20 percent of the \u2062American\u2064 power grid runs on nuclear energy.
