They argue that this prosecution is a clear indication of an\u200b &#8220;open war on Christianity.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The representatives have sent a letter to Douglas\u200b Hickey, America&#8217;s ambassador to \u2062Finland, and Rashad Hussain, the ambassador\u2064 for the U.S. \u2063Office of Religious Freedom, in defense of Parliamentarian P\u00e4ivi R\u00e4s\u00e4nen. R\u00e4s\u00e4nen is currently facing a trial before a Finnish\u200d appeals court after \u2063being \u200bpreviously acquitted by a lower court on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wife-of-notorious-drug-lord-el-chapo-arrested-for-international-drug-trafficking-u-s-authorities\/\" title=\"Wife Of Notorious Drug Lord \u2018El Chapo\u2019 Arrested For International Drug Trafficking: U.S. Authorities\">charges including<\/a> &#8220;agitation against a minority group&#8221; related to her\u2064 faith-based \u2063views on marriage \u200dand sexuality. \u2062This includes a 2019 tweet where she referred to homosexuality as a &#8220;sin.&#8221;<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>&#8220;Finnish Christians once again \u2062stand trial for simply being\u2063 Christians. For\u200c more than four\u2063 years,\u2063 a rogue Finnish prosecutor has unjustly targeted Member of\u200c Finnish Parliament P\u00e4ivi R\u00e4s\u00e4nen and Bishop Juhana Pohjola for tweeting \u2063a Bible verse\u2062 critical of her \u200down \u200cchurch and publishing a twenty-year old \u200dbooklet on marriage,&#8221; a letter from 16 House\u2062 Republicans read.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The letter was signed by Reps. Chip Roy (Texas), Michael Cloud (Texas), Mike Johnson\u200d (Louisiana), Andrew Clyde (Georgia), Jim Banks (Indiana), Jeff Duncan (South Carolina), Mary Miller \u200c(Illinois), \u200dDoug\u200b Lamborn (Colorado), \u200bDebbie Lesko (Arizona), Michael\u2064 Guest\u2062 (Mississippi), Andy Ogles (Tennessee), Ralph\u2063 Norman (South Carolina), Anna Paulina Luna (Florida), Randy Weber (Texas), Keith Self\u200b (Texas), \u2062and \u2063Alex X. \u2062Mooney\u2063 (West Virginia).<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>&#8220;This\u2063 case will have worldwide ramifications.
