The <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/topic\/books\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">novel<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">  has\u2063 several elements which echo Harry and Meghan\u2019s \u200cown life stories.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cMeet Me at the\u2063 Lake\u201d by Carley Fortune follows main characters \u2063Will and Fern, who meet in their 30s. Deadline <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2023\/08\/prince-harry-meghan-markle-film-rights-meet-me-at-the-lake-netflix-1235455935\/\">reported<\/a> \u2064 that the book included themes of \u201cchildhood\u2063 trauma, including losing a \u200bparent in a car crash, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/prince-harry-and-meghan-markle-secure-movie-rights-to-romantic-novel-for-netflix\/\" title=\"Prince Harry and Meghan Markle snag movie rights for romantic novel on Netflix.\">mental \u2064health challenges<\/a> and post-natal depression.\u201d\u200d Harry\u2019s mother, Princess Diana, died from injuries sustained in \u200ba car crash while being pursued by a group \u2064of paparazzi in 1997.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The book is also\u200d set in Toronto, the city Markle lived in while filming \u201cSuits\u201d and began\u200c dating Harry.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cMeet Me At The Lake,\u201d which has the same publisher as Prince\u200b Harry\u2019s \u200dmemoir \u2064\u201cSpare,\u201d was on the New York Times bestsellers list for five weeks.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cI\u2019m so thrilled about working with \u200bNetflix and\u2062 Archewell to bring Meet Me at the Lake to the screen,\u201d\u2064 Fortune said in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.independent.co.uk\/life-style\/royal-family\/harry-meghan-netflix-book-author-b2389638.html\">statement<\/a> to The Independent. \u201cWill and Fern\u2019s love story is dear\u200d to my heart, and I can\u2019t imagine a\u200b more perfect\u2063 partnership.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b data-stringify-type=\"bold\"><\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The couple has been \u2063intent on creating\u2062 a media empire \u200dwith mixed results.
