Greene<\/a>. The left is mistaken.\">dubious scientific study cited<\/a> in her dissent to the Supreme Court&#8217;s ruling \u2063on racial preferences in\u200b university admissions.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>The SCOTUS Diversity Hire<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The irony of \u200ba <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/breaking-supreme-court-deals-crushing-blow-affirmative-action-college-admissions\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Supreme Court<\/a> Justice unable\u2062 to understand a medical study\u200b yet using it as evidence \u200dhighlights \u200cthe validity of\u2064 Lieutenant Governor Winsome \u200bEarle-Sears&#8217; \u2062claim that Jackson is an example of a diversity \u200chire gone wrong.<\/p>\n<p>In an interview\u200b with Fox News, Earle-Sears \u2063responded to Jackson and other dissenting justices who argued that the court&#8217;s decision was a \u2063step back in terms of equality.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Well, what you \u200bhave is a justice who was chosen because she&#8217;s black and because she&#8217;s\u200c a woman,&#8221; Sears stated. &#8220;That&#8217;s what we&#8217;re\u200d understanding now&#8230;&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2022\/02\/25\/politics\/supreme-court-ketanji-brown-jackson\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CNN<\/a>, President \u200dBiden committed to nominating a \u200cblack female to the Supreme Court in 2020, emphasizing the importance of representation.<\/p>\n<p>However, Jackson&#8217;s inability to define the term &#8220;woman&#8221; during her confirmation hearings suggests that \u2063she may not fully grasp the reason for\u200b her \u200dnomination as a minority woman.<\/p>\n<p>Jackson argued in her dissent that racial preferences are necessary for \u2063<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/5-signs-the-quality-of-a-college-degree-isnt-what-it-used-to-be\/\" title=\"5 Signs The Quality Of A College Degree Isn\u2019t What It Used To Be\">medical school admissions<\/a> to improve health outcomes for black patients.<\/p>\n<p>At first glance, it may seem\u2064 like Jackson is suggesting that a doctor&#8217;s skin \u2064color is the determining factor in their ability\u200d to improve the \u2064health of black patients, prioritizing it over medical expertise and aptitude.<\/p>\n<p>Following this logic, hospitals would be organized into separate wards based on race, with Asian doctors treating Asian patients, \u200dHispanic \u200cdoctors \u2064treating Hispanic patients, and so on.<\/p>\n<p>However,\u2062 it is \u200bimportant to question Jackson&#8217;s claims.\u200c Did black babies truly have a higher chance of \u200bsurvival when treated by black doctors? The answer is no.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Are Black Babies More Likely to Die Under the Care of White Doctors?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>If the color of a doctor&#8217;s skin truly had such \u2064a \u2064significant \u200cimpact on the\u2062 survival rates of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/top-10-quotes-from-the-supreme-courts-affirmative-action-decision\/\" title=\"Top 10 Quotes from Supreme Court's Affirmative Action Ruling\">high-risk black newborns<\/a>, it would be foolish and even racist to argue against it. In\u2062 fact, the \u2062difference in\u2064 survival \u2063rates between black newborns with black attending physicians and those with white attending physicians was only 0.129 percent.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, \u200cthe study\u200c did\u200d not consider the fact that black newborns are more likely to have serious medical complications, and therefore, the attending physicians assigned to treat these\u2064 cases are more likely to be white. The \u200bstudy does not \u200dprovide\u200c evidence that black newborns with identical conditions would fare better with a black doctor.<\/p>\n<p>Jackson&#8217;s argument\u200c falls apart when\u200b subjected to \u200dscrutiny. Even if her\u2063 interpretation of the study \u200cwere accurate, it would not support the use of racial preferences in medical school admissions. Increasing the number \u200bof black doctors to ensure every black newborn has one would require\u200c a dilution in the quality of\u200d doctors, potentially\u200b doing more harm than good.<\/p>\n<p>So, how did we end up in a situation where a Supreme Court justice misreads \u200da flawed medical study to defend\u200d a \u2063tendentious\u2063 argument? The\u2063 answer lies in academia and\u2063 the erosion of critical thinking.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>How We Got Here<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Blame can be placed on academia, where\u200d postmodern relativism has taken hold. This toxic ideology, originating with philosophers like Nietzsche and popularized by figures like Foucault, has permeated American universities\u2063 and influenced the humanities and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/media-engineers-hit-campaign-from-secret-recording-of-hillsdale-college-president-telling-the-truth-about-teacher-training\/\" title=\"Media Engineers Hit Campaign From Secret Recording Of Hillsdale College President Telling The Truth About Teacher Training\">social science departments<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>As \u200da\u200b result, truth is now seen as a social construct, with &#8220;personal truth&#8221; given more weight than critical thinking.<\/p>\n<p>Nietzsche predicted this \u2063decline in his writings, warning that a time would come when readers would \u200cno longer seek knowledge. He wrote, &#8220;He who knoweth the reader, doeth nothing more for the reader. Another century of readers\u2063 \u2014 and spirit itself will\u200c stink.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>In other words, as stated \u200bin 2 Timothy 4:3-4, people would turn away from sound teaching and seek out teachers who cater to their\u200d own passions, leading \u2063them astray from the \u2062truth.<\/p>\n<p>Postmodernism has devalued morality and reduced meaningful discourse to gibberish. The result is\u200d a crisis in critical thinking, as demonstrated by the inability of the Association of American Medical Colleges and Jackson&#8217;s clerks to properly understand\u200c a medical study.<\/p>\n<p>Elitist universities, and the education system as a \u2064whole,\u200b are \u200bfailing to pursue truth and instead promote tendentious interpretations based on leftist ideologies.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>The Total Destruction of\u200d Jackson&#8217;s Race-Baiting Argument<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Greene&#8217;s analysis of Jackson&#8217;s argument goes even \u200dfurther in\u2063 exposing its flaws.<\/p>\n<p>Even\u2063 if Jackson accurately described the results of the study and even if those results were credible, \u2063they would not support the use of racial \u2062preferences in medical school \u2063admissions.<\/p>\n<p>Increasing the number \u200cof black doctors at the expense \u2064of quality would \u200dnot provide the claimed benefits, as the study fails to \u2064consider the higher \u2064likelihood of severe medical complications among black newborns and the specialization of white doctors in treating these cases.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, the implementation of racial preferences in medical school admissions would lead to the segregation of doctors and patients, creating\u200d legal and logistical challenges \u2062for hospitals.<\/p>\n<p>Greene concludes\u2062 that those \u200dwho support racial preferences often invoke research without properly understanding\u2064 it or considering whether it actually supports their preferred policies.<\/p>\n<p>The education system in the United States is in a state of decay. The fact that a\u2062 Supreme Court justice can misinterpret a flawed medical study to defend a flawed argument is evidence \u2063of\u2064 this decline.<\/p>\n<p>However, there is hope. By prioritizing reason and equipping our children with critical thinking\u2062 skills, we can strive for \u2062truth and excellence.
