the polar opposite of \u201cthe gift that keeps\u2064 on giving,\u201d\u2063 Anheuser-Busch\u200d InBev seems to have stumbled on exactly that following a catastrophic partnership \u2063with transgender influencer Dylan \u200cMulvaney.<\/p>\n<p>To wit, Bud Light, one \u2063of parent company Anheuser-Busch\u2019s flagship beer brands, has come under incredible scrutiny following a \u200bbrief relationship with Mulvaney.<\/p>\n<p>The transgender\u200c influencer received a commemorative can with his face emblazoned on it, and\u200d also drank some \u200bBud\u2063 Light\u200c in\u2063 some <a title=\"Anheuser-Busch sells 8 beer brands due to Bud Light backlash.\" href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/anheuser-busch-offloads-8-beer-brands-as-bud-light-backlash-continues-to-take-a-toll\/\">promotional social \u200cmedia posts<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In short: It was a disastrous\u200d move by Bud Light and its suddenly \u2064beleaguered\u2063 parent company.<\/p>\n<h3>The\u2064 Fallout from the Mulvaney Partnership<\/h3>\n<p>Here is a\u200c cheat sheet on all the ways \u200cthat the Mulvaney partnership\u2063 has afflicted the <a title=\"Charles Barkley defends Bud Light and the trans community with rel=\"noopener\">revenue reports<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>The market value of Bud Light\u2063 has\u2064 plummeted\u2064 by at least <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/conservatives-can-declare-victory-bud-light-boycott-anheuser-busch-market-value-15-7-billion\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">$15 billion<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Those abysmal sales \u2064have caused (at least) \u200b <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/two-top-anheuser-busch-execs-behind-mulvaney-partnership-now-job-report\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">two executives<\/a>, countless <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/bud-light-parent-company-axes-hundreds-marketing-corporate-employees-self-inflicted-woes-continue\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">marketing<\/a> employees, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/bud-lights-dylan-mulvaney-partnership-now-cost-645-people-jobs-report\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">645 \u2063plant workers<\/a> to\u200b lose their jobs.<\/li>\n<li>The brand\u200d itself is \u200das\u2064 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/nfl-pro-bowler-gets-big-backlash-starring-bud-light-ad-battles-critics\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">toxic<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/rather-drink-urine-bud-light-hit-intense-backlash-resuming-regular-posting\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">unsavory<\/a> as its ever been.<\/li>\n<li>Bud \u2063Light\u200c itself has received the dreaded \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/costco-appears-handed-bud-light-painful-death-star\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">death star<\/a>\u201d from Costco.<\/li>\n<li>Bud Light <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/bud-light-parent-company-sells-off-beer-brand-losses-mount\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">sold\u2063 off<\/a> \u200bpart of its craft beer catalog to \u200chelp offset the\u200d losses.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>That last bullet point is of particular\u2064 note because it appears the\u200c beverage \u2062titan is not\u2062 done hacking away \u2063at its craft beer catalog to help \u2063mitigate some \u200dof \u2064those disastrous and aforementioned issues.<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/hudsonlindenberger\/2023\/08\/08\/tilray-brands-deal-with-anheuser-busch-inbev-sets-them-firmly-on-the-national-stage\/?sh=1ba6142d24a8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Forbes<\/a>, \u2063AB\u200d InBev is set to sell \u200boff a sizable chunk of its craft beer catalog to <a title=\"Citing Racism, Washington State Bans The Word \u2018Marijuana\u2019 From All State Laws\" href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/citing-racism-washington-state-bans-the-word-marijuana-from-all-state-laws\/\">cannabis company<\/a> Tilray \u200dBrands for\u2062 \u201ca price equal\u2062 to $85 million in cash.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The sale will include\u2063 \u201call employees, breweries, four production facilities, and eight\u200d brewpubs nationwide.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>More than\u2063 just the logistics, however, Tilray\u2019s biggest get of this sale appears to be the popular Shock Top \u2063beer brand, which are generally known for being fruitier flavored beer.<\/p>\n<p>Between \u200dShock Top\u200c and the\u200d other seven <a title=\"BREAKING: Jury Rejects Loss of life Penalty For Parkland Shooter\" href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/breaking-jury-rejects-loss-of-life-penalty-for-parkland-shooter\/\">brands included<\/a> in the \u2063sale, Tilray\u2063 is set to grow exponentially.<\/p>\n<p>As Forbes reports, \u200bTilray,\u200b which is the \u201clargest cannabis company in\u2062 the world, just \u2063made \u2062a move \u200bthat will also make \u200dit the fifth-largest craft brewer \u200cand fifteenth-largest overall brewer in the United States.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s a sizable jump in operations \u2014\u200b and it all\u200b appears to stem from Bud Light working \u2064with\u2064 Mulvaney and all of\u200b the fallout \u2063associated with that disastrous\u2062 decision.<\/p>\n<p>But one company\u2019s failures are another company\u2019s jet fuel, and Tilray has been planning this type of aggressive\u200c expansion for months now.<\/p>\n<p>In a 2022 interview with Forbes, Tilray president Irwin D. Simon outlined his \u2064plans for his cannabis company.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI very much want us to be a branded consumer products company, focusing on adult-use cannabis,\u200d medical cannabis, the beer category, the spirits category,\u2064 and where it \u200dmakes sense, we will have infused foods,\u201d Simon told Forbes in 2022. \u201cOur strategy is very different than anybody else out there. \u2062There are no \u2063cannabis \u200ccompanies that own alcohol brands today.
