Rachel Rodriguez-Williams and Chip Neiman to protect pro-life laws that have been\u200c challenged by abortionists in\u2063 court.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2-long d-flex justify-content-center\" style=\"margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center; \" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-1966488160\">\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-1379703300879-0\" class=\"mb-30\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-409b6cadd7659c4626ac046e0f435dce fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-409b6cadd7659c4626ac046e0f435dce\"><\/div>\n<p>On Monday, Reps. Rachel Rodriguez-Williams\u2063 and \u2064Chip Neiman filed an appeal with Right to Life Wyoming to protest a court ruling that blocked \u200btheir\u2062 intervention in <em>Johnson v.\u2062 State of Wyoming<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe \u200dstate of Wyoming is eager \u200dto uphold its law affirming that life is a human\u200c right and ensure women are given the \u200dreal health care and support they deserve,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/adfmedia.org\/case\/johnson-v-state-wyoming-ii#:~:text=Description%3A%20Abortion%20activists%20are%20challenging,ensure%20maternal%20health%20and%20safety.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">said<\/a> Tim Garrison, a\u200d senior\u2063 counsel for the conservative legal group\u200d Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF). The non<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/maine-rules-in-favor-of-dude-seeking-to-be-housed-with-women-in-senior-care-facility\/\" title=\"Maine Rules in Favor of Dude Seeking to Be Housed With Women in Senior Care Facility\">-profit legal organization<\/a> is representing the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/a-worthy-recipient-pro-life-group-names-trump-pro-life-person-of-the-year\/\" title=\"\u201cA Worthy Recipient\u201d- Pro-Life Group Names Trump Pro-Life \u201cPerson Of The Year\u201d\">pro-life group<\/a> and its allied lawmakers in\u2064 the state \u200dcourt.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur clients\u2064 have a clear interest in defending that law, \u200cwhich\u2064 safeguards the\u200b lives of unborn children and well-being of their mothers,\u201d Garrison said in a press release. \u201cWe will urge the Wyoming Supreme Court to allow them to\u200d help defend\u200d Wyoming\u2019s duly enacted law.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Wyoming Republican Gov. Mark Gordan\u200b signed \u200cthe <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wyoleg.gov\/Legislation\/2023\/HB0152#:~:text=(iii)%20This%20act%20promotes%20and,act%20is%20not%20health%20care.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Life Is a\u200d Human \u200cRight \u2062Act<\/a> in March. The bill criminalizes\u200b abortion administration either by\u200c pill or procedure with a felony charge carrying up to five years in\u200d prison. Doctors \u200cwould also have their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/john-daniel-davidson-we-need-to-stop-calling-ourselves-conservatives\/\" title=\"John Daniel Davidson: We Need To Stop Calling Ourselves Conservatives\">medical licenses revoked<\/a>, with the legislation offering few \u2062exceptions for rape,\u2062 incest, or risk to the\u2062 mother\u2019s life.<\/p>\n<p>Pro-abortion activists immediately <a href=\"https:\/\/www.codyenterprise.com\/news\/local\/article_548281ee-c8d8-11ed-987a-33554774111d.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">challenged <\/a>the law in court from Teton\u200b County. Locals often refer to the northwestern\u200d corner of \u200cthe sparsely populated state as the \u200b\u201cCalifornia region\u201d of Wyoming.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-9e36caf211d6b98f60809f6c6c25d8c8 fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-6\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-9e36caf211d6b98f60809f6c6c25d8c8\"><\/div>\n<p><strong>Appealing to the\u200b Wyoming Supreme Court<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Ninth District\u2062 Judge Melissa Owens temporarily <a href=\"https:\/\/wyofile.com\/judge-blocks-abortion-ban-citing-separation-of-powers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">blocked<\/a> the new law days\u200c after\u2062 the legislation \u200dwas signed. Judge \u200cOwens also blocked a later <a href=\"https:\/\/adfmedia.org\/press-release\/wyoming-right-life-state-officials-seek-defend-pro-life-law\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">motion to intervene<\/a> by the pair\u200b of state \u2064lawmakers and Right to Life \u200dWyoming on <a href=\"https:\/\/adfmedialegalfiles.blob.core.windows.net\/files\/WyomingNoticeOfAppeal.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">July 20<\/a>. Legislators \u200care\u200b now appealing that denial to the state \u2062Supreme Court.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Wyoming Among States with Abortion Bans<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.axios.com\/2022\/06\/25\/abortion-illegal-7-states-more-bans-coming\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">According<\/a> \u200dto an\u2064 abortion ban tracker\u2063 by Axios, at least\u200d 18 states \u2064have banned or \u200brestricted abortion\u2063 in \u2063the aftermath of <em>Dobbs v.
