Ted Cruz of Texas argued \u2062that the Democrats\u2019 \u201cdream scenario\u201d is to have multiple criminal trials of former \u2064President Donald Trump taking place in the fall of 2024, right before the presidential\u200b election.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey want Trump being prosecuted.\u2063 They want all of the headlines to be about anything other than the disastrous Joe \u2062Biden \u200brecord,\u201d Cruz said on his <a href=\"https:\/\/podcasts.apple.com\/us\/podcast\/verdict-with-ted-cruz\/id1495601614?i=1000623417417\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u201cVerdict\u201d podcast<\/a>, which was published Friday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey don\u2019t want\u2063 the voters \u200bto vote on Biden\u2019s record, because\u200c if we vote\u200d on Biden\u2019s record, \u2063Biden loses,\u201d he added. \u201cInstead they want to use\u200c the Department of Justice to steal\u200c the election. Let\u2019s be clear, they\u2019re \u2064trying to steal it by \u200ddominating the headlines.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Cruz listed the many failures Biden\u2064 doesn\u2019t want to talk \u2063about including his administration\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/gop-senator-blasts-biden-for-halting-wall-construction-paying-contractors-billions-to-babysit-metal\/\" title=\"GOP Senator Blasts Biden For Halting Wall Construction: Paying Contractors Billions To \u2018Babysit Metal\u2019\">open southern border<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/reagan-economist-takes-presidents-claims-bidenomics-numbers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bidenomics<\/a>, rising crime rates, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/house-republicans-urge-biden-to-keep-embassy-in-jerusalem\/\" title=\"House Republicans Urge Biden to Keep Embassy in Jerusalem\">disastrous foreign policy<\/a> with\u200b the Ukraine War and the fall of Afghanistan to the Taliban.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey don\u2019t want to talk\u2062 about how every enemy of America is \u200cstronger today and how Joe Biden has weakened and undermined our allies,\u201d\u2063 the senator said.<\/p>\n<p>Cruz, who <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cruz.senate.gov\/about-ted\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">clerked<\/a> for then-Supreme Court Chief Justice William Rehnquist in the 1990s, noted that U.S. District Court Judge <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/judge-trumps-jan-6-case-worked-law-firm-hunter-biden-time\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tanya S. And in their perfect \u2062world they\u2019d like that guilty verdict maybe about Oct. 20 of next year would be the Democrat dream scenario.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Cruz anticipated when the case eventually makes its way to the Supreme\u200b Court it is very likely \u2064to be thrown out, but that will probably happen after the election when \u200cthe damage is already done.<\/p>\n<p>Special counsel Jack\u2063 Smith\u2019s January 6 indictment of Trump seeks to make it a crime for\u2063 him to\u2062 challenge election results and to speak about his doubts about the integrity of the election.<\/p>\n<p>Cruz pointed out that Democrats have done \u2062so multiple \u2063times in \u200cthe\u200c past, including 2016 presidential nominee <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/kari-lake-flips-script-forces-reporters-see-election-deniers-really\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Hillary Clinton<\/a> and Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams.<\/p>\n<p>Last fall the Republican National Committee released \u200da video featuring 10 \u200cminutes of \u2064Democrats denying election results and claiming the election accidentally admitted the \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/whistleblower-drops-bombshell-fbi-knew-hunter-bidens-laptop-real-deal-months-made-news\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">laptop from hell<\/a>\u201d was his.<\/p>\n<p>The very next day, a Saturday no less, Manhattan District Attorney <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/alvin-braggs-office-suffers-big-loss-case-donald-trump\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Alvin Bragg<\/a> filed \u200dcharges against Trump claiming he <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/trump-indictment-in-stormy-daniels-hush-money-payment-investigation-imminent\/\" title=\"Trump indictment in Stormy Daniels hush-money payment investigation 'imminent'\">falsified business records<\/a> during the 2016 presidential campaign.<\/p>\n<p>Then in June, members of the House \u200cOversight Committee reviewed \u2063and reported on an FBI whistleblower form alleging both Joe\u2064 and Hunter \u200cBiden each received a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/breaking-gop-releases-fbi-document-alleging-5m-biden-bribery-scheme\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">$5 million bribe<\/a> from the Ukrainian energy firm <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/devon-archer-bombshell-hunter-biden-called-dc-get-ukrainian-prosecutor-investigating-burisma-fired\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Burisma<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The next day, Smith <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/judge-presiding-trump-documents-case-smacks-special-counsel-jack-smith\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">indicted Trump<\/a> in relation to his alleged mishandling of classified documents.<\/p>\n<p>Then last week, former\u200d Hunter Biden business partner <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/house-oversight-committee-releases-full-devon-archer-transcript-page-45-looks-bad-biden\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Devon Archer<\/a> testified \u2063that \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/newly-released-fbi-report-confirms-big-guy-joe-biden\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the \u2063big guy<\/a>\u201d Joe\u200c Biden \u200dwas aware of\u2062 his son\u2019s overseas deals and even attended D.C. dinners with business clients from Ukraine and Russia.<\/p>\n<p>Smith then filed his Jan. \u20626 indictment against Trump the next day.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">The pattern of events surrounding our investigation into the Bidens can\u2019t be a coincidence:<\/p>\n<p>3\/17 This is election interference \u2063at its finest against \u200dthe leading candidate right now for president for either party,\u201d\u200d Cruz\u2062 said.<\/p>\n<p>He \u2063believes that Democrats have seen how Trump goes up in the polls every time they indict him and that\u2019s just what they want.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou\u2019ve got to understand something,\u201d he said. \u201cThe objective is not to put Donald Trump in prison for \u200ca day.\u200d The objective,\u2063 Joe Biden\u2019s political objective, Merrick Garland\u2019s political objective\u2026[T]hey\u2064 want Trump to win the primary and they have recognized that every time they indict \u200dhim his numbers go up in the Republican primary.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Democrats have apparently concluded Trump will be the easiest to beat.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, they made the same calculation in 2016, and how did that work \u200bout for them?<\/p>\n<p>Trump acknowledged at a Republican Party dinner in \u200bAlabama Friday, \u201cAny time they file an indictment, we go way up \u200din the polls.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe need one more indictment to close out\u200d this \u2064election.
