Gun shop owner \u2064Kevin McClung questioned the logic of it in an interview with a local ABC affiliate.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf at 18 you can get called to go\u200c die for\u2062 your country, why \u2063can\u2019t you have a\u200c firearm?\u201d \u2064McClung <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=SwsYOxU2DNE\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said<\/a>.\u200d \u201cCriminals don\u2019t follow \u2062the law in the\u200d first place. \u200bSo there\u2019s no stopping them from having those guns.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rapid Reaction:<\/strong> In response to the law, the Colorado House Republicans tweeted. \u201cRanchers, \u2063hunters, \u2063farmers, domestic \u200bviolence victims, and anyone \u200delse who lives in CO under 21 can no longer buy a firearm as of today \u2014 thanks to Democrats\u2019 war on the 2nd Amendment.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Indeed,\u2062 it doesn\u2019t seem\u2064 as if this law should have legal standing. If citizens \u2064of\u2062 Colorado can \u2063vote at 18 and are considered an adult, then their \u2062Second Amendment rights should be recognized at 18 as well. At <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thecentersquare.com\/colorado\/article_52a404b4-323d-11ee-8f1d-231f83d8c6f8.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">least\u2062 one group<\/a> has already filed a lawsuit against this \u200bbill.<\/p>\n<h3>George Floyd \u200dResponding Police Officer Sentenced<\/h3>\n<p>Tou Thao, a former Minneapolis police officer who <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fox9.com\/news\/tou-thao-sentenced-george-floyd-killing\">responded<\/a> to\u200c the 9-1-1 call that led to George Floyd\u2019s death, was sentenced to nearly five \u2064years in prison Today. His sentencing came\u2064 three months after he\u2062 was\u200c found \u200bguilty of aiding and abetting manslaughter. The \u200cvessel,\u2064 officially christened the\u200b Bibby Stockholm, \u200bcould eventually house around \u2064500\u200c men. The move comes as the \u200bU.K. seeks to\u2063 cut down costs on housing\u200c migrants. Sarah Dines, Under-Secretary of State for Safeguarding explained why the move was necessary.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe need to make sure that \u2063it\u2019s a basic but\u2063 proper accommodation and not luxurious if you come to\u200d the country, from a safe country\u200c unlawfully you can\u2019t\u200b expect to stay in a four-star hotel,\u201d Dines said. \u201cSo this is just one of many\u200d measures\u2064 we\u2019re bringing in.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rapid Reaction:<\/strong> The U.S. isn\u2019t the only Western nation suffering from illegal \u2064immigration. The crisis is so\u200b bad that the city is now looking at\u2062 propping up encampments around the city. New \u200bYork Mayor Eric Adams\u2019 has said the solution to the problem is more\u2064 federal funding.\u200d He seems not so concerned with saving money, rather he simply \u2062wants somebody else to pay for all \u200bthe freebies that New York \u200bliberals have been promising \u200bfor decades.<\/p>\n<p>Perhaps he should listen to our\u200b friends\u2062 across the pond and place the illegal aliens in\u2064 the Big Apple on a gigantic barge out in the harbor.
