Additionally, 51% of participants feel that the U.S.\u200b has already done enough to assist Ukraine, while 48% believe that more should be done.<\/p>\n<p>This marks a significant\u200b shift in public \u2062opinion since February 2022, when Russia initiated\u200b its invasion of \u2064Ukraine. At that time, 62% of Americans expressed the belief that the U.S. should have\u2064 been more involved.<\/p>\n<h3>Concerns Over National Security<\/h3>\n<p>Looking beyond the immediate implications for Ukraine, a majority of Americans are now expressing concerns \u2063about the impact of Russia&#8217;s war on U.S. national security. However, these concerns have diminished compared to February 2022, when\u2063 72%\u200c of respondents \u200dwere worried \u200babout \u200cthreats to U.S. security.<\/p>\n<p>While there is some bipartisan agreement on\u2063 the issue, \u2064with more Democrats than Republicans supporting continued funding for Ukraine&#8217;s war, the majority of\u2063 respondents from all parties share concerns about\u200c the war persisting\u2064 without resolution. Approximately 80% of participants, including 82% of Democrats, \u200c75% of independents, and 73% of Republicans, express this worry.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, around two-thirds\u200c of participants are apprehensive about the potential \u200cconsequences of the \u200dconflict in Ukraine.\u200b They fear\u200c that it could lead to increased threats to democracy elsewhere (65%) or prompt\u200c Russian attacks in other regions (64%). \u200bAdditionally,\u200b approximately 60% are\u2063 concerned that the conflict may escalate \u2063into a broader war in Europe.<\/p>\n<h3>Partisan Divide<\/h3>\n<p>Despite some areas of agreement, there is a clear partisan \u200bdivide on the issue. Republicans overwhelmingly argue against authorizing \u200cnew funding (71%) and believe that the U.S. has already done enough to aid Ukraine (59%). In contrast, \u2064the majority\u2063 of Democrats support additional funding (62%)\u200c and assert that the\u200c U.S. should do\u2062 more.<\/p>\n<p>Independents\u200c generally hold the\u200b belief that the U.S. \u2064has sufficiently assisted Ukraine (56%) and express \u2063opposition to further funding (55%).<\/p>\n<h3>Specific Forms of Assistance<\/h3>\n<p>When it comes to specific forms of assistance, there is\u2064 agreement across party lines that the U.S. should <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/majority-of-americans-agree-no-more-u-s-taxpayer-money-for-ukraine\/\" title=\"Most Americans say: Stop using U.S. taxpayer money for Ukraine.\">provide intelligence-gathering support<\/a> to Ukraine. Majorities\u200b of Democrats (70%), independents \u2062(63%), \u2062and Republicans (56%) support this measure. \u2064However, support for\u2063 military training varies, \u2064with nearly two-thirds of Democrats in favor \u200b(64%), \u200bcompared to about\u200b half of independents and Republicans (48% each).<\/p>\n<p>A <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/survey-majority-of-democrats-support-justin-trudeaus-crackdown-on-freedom-convoy-protesters\/\" title=\"Survey: Majority of Democrats Support Justin Trudeau's Crackdown on Freedom Convoy Protesters\">significant <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/a-border-threat-so-taboo-that-few-dare-speak-of-it\/\" title=\"A Border Threat So Taboo That Few Dare Speak Of It\">partisan divide<\/a><\/a> is observed regarding the \u200cprovision of weapons to Ukraine. While\u200c 61% of Democrats are in favor, only 39% of \u2062independents and 30% of Republicans support this\u200d measure. As for deploying U.S. military \u2064forces to participate in combat operations, less than 20% of individuals from all \u200dparties endorse the idea.<\/p>\n<p>The CNN poll, conducted by SSRS from July 1 to 31, surveyed a random \u2063national sample of \u20631,279 adults. The\u2064 participants were initially contacted via mail and the surveys \u2063were conducted either\u200b online or \u2062via telephone with live interviewers.
