Some progressive\u2064 groups have laid \u200coff staff \u2064due to the lack of cash,\u200b Politico noted.<\/p>\n<p>Enthusiasm was\u2064 in short supply in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/interactive\/2023\/08\/01\/us\/elections\/times-siena-poll-registered-voters-crosstabs.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">New\u2062 York Times\/Siena College \u200bpoll<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>The poll said 20 percent of Democrats would \u200bbe enthusiastic to have Biden as\u200c the party\u2019s nominee,\u2063 while 51 percent said they were satisfied \u200bbut not enthusiastic.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>About 30 percent of those who plan to vote for Biden said they\u2062 had been\u2063 hoping for another \u2063Democrat to be the \u2062party\u2019s \u200cchoice.<\/p>\n<p>The New York Times\/Siena College\u200c poll of 1,329\u2064 registered voters nationwide was conducted between July 23 and July 27.
