Trump&#8217;s lawyers have requested a hearing on the matter to fully discuss each redline and address any concerns the Court may have.<\/p>\n<p>Trump, who is running a \u200d2024 campaign for another term in the White House, has consistently denied \u200bany \u200cwrongdoing and claims to be the\u200b target\u200c of a &#8220;witch hunt&#8221; while facing multiple \u200ccriminal indictments on the\u200b federal \u200dand state levels.<\/p>\n<p>In two cases brought by Smith, one related to his handling of sensitive documents after leaving office and the other focused on alleged efforts to overturn the\u2062 results of the 2020\u2063 election, \u2062the former president has pleaded not guilty.<\/p>\n<p>In a \u2064post to Truth Social, Trump expressed his frustration, \u2063questioning\u200c the \u200ctiming of the \u2062indictments and whether a president can order the \u200dDepartment of \u200dJustice to\u2064 indict an\u200c opponent just prior to an election.
