They emphasize that the state auditor is \u200blegally obligated to\u200d calculate the financial costs to Missouri resulting from this significant loss of human life\u200c as part of the initiative petition process.<\/p>\n<h3>Support and Opposition<\/h3>\n<p>The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), a staunch supporter of \u2062state constitutional amendments\u2063 to protect abortion rights, \u2064has expressed its support for the amendment in Missouri.
