They acted on it by filing this protective order, which is an\u2064 effort to keep important information about this case from\u200c the press.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>During the hearing last\u2064 week, Trump pleaded not-guilty to four federal charges regarding his\u200b alleged involvement to remain in power after losing the 2020 election. <\/p>\n<p>In light of threats made by the former president\u2063 on social media, Special Counsel Jack Smith urged the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/elizabeth-holmes-jury-says-its-deadlocked-on-3-of-11-criminal-charges-in-theranos-fraud-trial\/\" title=\"Elizabeth Holmes Jury Says It\u2019s Deadlocked on 3 of 11 Criminal Charges in Theranos Fraud Trial\">federal judge presiding<\/a> over Trump\u2019s case to issue a protective \u200corder for evidence.<\/p>\n<p>However, Lauro argued that the \u200cthreats cited \u200dby Smith was his\u2062 client\u2019s method\u200d of responding in a &#8220;political way.&#8221;<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>\u201cThis is the problem with bringing a political prosecution in a political season,\u201d Lauro said. \u201cPresident \u2062Trump was responding in a political\u2064 way to \u200dsome of his political opponents.\u2064 And the\u2063 Biden administration wants the \u200bjudge to put \u2064in place an order\u200b that will prevent the\u2063 press\u200b from obtaining exculpatory and material information that might be relevant \u200bto\u2063 these proceedings.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>He\u2064 reiterated that the Biden Administration wants to deprive Americans the \u200bability\u200b to understand more about the proceedings.\u200b Even though cameras are banned from federal courtrooms, some argue that they should allow further transparency \u2063in \u200bcourt proceedings. \u200d <\/p>\n<p>On the flip side, those in favor\u2063 of the restriction \u2063say a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/fncs-carlson-kyle-rittenhouse-has-already-won\/\" title=\"FNC's Carlson: Kyle Rittenhouse Has 'Already Won'\">televised trial<\/a> could\u200c <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/trump-attorney-says-he-would-love-to-see-jan-6-trial-on-tv\/\" title=\"Trump's lawyer desires televised Jan. 6 trial.\">impact \u200cwitness testimony<\/a> as well as\u2064 jurors\u2019 decision-making.<\/p>\n<p>Stay informed!
