Thieves had \u2062cut open blue drop-off mailboxes in Frankfort and Orland Park, prompting \u200dlocal law enforcement to\u200d warn residents about potential fraudulent activity.<\/p>\n<p>CBS News Chicago also obtained data \u200bfrom the \u200bU.S. Postal Service (USPS) revealing that\u2062 arrow key thefts, which are used to \u200bopen blue drop-off boxes and larger mailboxes, \u200chad not been \u2063properly tracked until 2021. The USPS had not made a single arrest for \u2064arrow-key-related thefts between\u2064 2020\u200d and March\u2064 2023. The accuracy of this information was questioned by\u200c a U.S. \u2062Postal Inspectors official.<\/p>\n<p>These incidents in Chicago are not\u200c isolated. They\u2062 are indicative of the widespread \u200cmail theft problem plaguing the nation.<\/p>\n<p>In response to the\u200b rising mail theft, \u2062USPS\u200b announced countermeasures, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/how-can-mail-in-voting-be-secure-when-postal-theft-is-rampant\/\" title=\"Is Mail-In Voting Secure Amidst Rampant Postal Theft?\">including\u2064 installing high-security blue \u200bcollection \u2062boxes<\/a> and replacing antiquated arrow locks \u200cwith electronic locks. However, despite these efforts, there have \u200cbeen over \u200b25,000 reported thefts from mail receptacles in the six months \u2063ending March 30, 2023.<\/p>\n<p>So, how can Democrats continue to claim that voting by mail is safe and secure? The\u2062 truth is, \u2062they prioritize \u2064their own political \u200bagenda over\u2063 the security of our elections.
