He also knows, therefore, that he has little chance of \u200breceiving a fair trial in that cesspool of corruption.<\/p>\n<p>On Sunday \u200bmorning, in a series of \u200cposts on\u200b Truth\u2063 Social, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/trumps-lawyer-says-something-expects-happen-trump-next-weeks\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Trump<\/a> \u200bexplained why he \u200ccould not get a fair \u200btrial in D.C. and what he plans to do about it.<\/p>\n<p>He began by focusing on the city itself, where residents remain hostile to him for \u2062a\u2062 variety of reasons. As usual, Trump \u200cmade \u2062his point both conspicuous and emphatic \u2063by using all capital letters.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cNO WAY I CAN GET A FAIR TRIAL, OR EVEN CLOSE TO\u2064 A FAIR TRIAL, IN WASHINGTON, D.C. THERE ARE MANY REASONS FOR THIS, BUT JUST ONE IS THAT I AM CALLING FOR A \u200dFEDERAL TAKEOVER OF THIS FILTHY AND CRIME RIDDEN EMBARRASSMENT TO OUR\u200c NATION, WHERE MURDERS \u200bHAVE JUST SHATTERED THE ALL\u2063 TIME\u200c RECORD, OTHER VIOLENT CRIMES HAVE NEVER [BEEN] WORSE, AND TOURISTS HAVE FLED. THE FEDERAL TAKEOVER IS VERY UNPOPULAR WITH POTENTIAL AREA JURORS, BUT\u200d NECESSARY \u200bFOR SAFETY, GREATNESS, &#038; FOR ALL\u2062 THE WORLD \u200dTO SEE!\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Then, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/gop-voters-rally-around-trump-following-jan-6-indictment-else-support\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Trump<\/a> blasted his persecutors for their transparently \u2063political\u200d motives \u200cin bringing him to trial.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cDERANGED \u200dJACK \u2063SMITH AND OUR HIGHLY PARTISAN, AND VERY CORRUPT, DEPARTMENT OF INJUSTICE, \u2064COULD HAVE BROUGHT THIS [BIDEN] \u2018OPPONENT\u2019 \u200bCASE\u2063 YEARS AGO, BUT CHOSE TO WAIT AND BRING IT RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF MY ELECTION CAMPAIGN. NO WAY!!! I HOPE YOU ARE WATCHING AMERICA. OUR COUNTRY IS BEING \u200bDESTROYED.\u2063 MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Finally, Trump indicated that his lawyers\u200c will \u2064make two important requests. First, they will ask U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan, an Obama appointee with \u200da\u2064 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/nightmare-brewing-trump-gets-assigned-judge-latest-case\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">record<\/a> of harsh sentences for Jan. 6, 2021, defendants, to \u200drecuse herself. Second, they will attempt to move the \u2064trial out of Washington.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cTHERE IS \u200dNO WAY I CAN GET A FAIR TRIAL WITH\u200d THE JUDGE\u200c \u2018ASSIGNED\u2019 TO THE RIDICULOUS FREEDOM OF SPEECH\/FAIR ELECTIONS CASE. EVERYBODY KNOWS THIS, AND SO \u2062DOES SHE! WE WILL BE IMMEDIATELY ASKING FOR RECUSAL OF THIS JUDGE\u2062 ON VERY POWERFUL GROUNDS, AND\u2062 LIKEWISE FOR VENUE CHANGE, OUT [OF] D.C.,\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>In some respects,\u200b one\u2063 hesitates \u2064to legitimize this travesty by analyzing details such as judges\u200b and jurors. Every fair-minded person who has paid attention to public affairs\u200b since 2016 can see what\u200d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/questions-raised-fair-trump-trial-revealed-doj-prosecutor-spent-money\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Trump\u2019s enemies<\/a> intend to do. Judges and jurors have no relevance except that they constitute \u200cpart of the sinister plan. The \u2064regime wants its most effective\u2064 critic\u2063 imprisoned\u200d and will \u200bstop at\u2063 nothing to make it happen.<\/p>\n<p>Indeed, Trump\u2019s own words about the judge \u2014 \u201cEVERYBODY KNOWS THIS, AND\u2064 SO DOES \u200cSHE!\u201d \u2014 indicate \u2063that he understands as\u200b much. The judge\u2064 has a role to\u200d play in the regime\u2019s theater.<\/p>\n<h3>Why Washington, D.C. is Hostile to Trump<\/h3>\n<p>A more ominous\u200d question is why the\u2063 former president\u2064 stands no\u2062 chance of\u2062 receiving a fair trial in D.C.\u200b Here Trump\u2019s assessment rings\u200c true but also falls well short of the mark.<\/p>\n<p>Trump cited \u201cMANY REASONS\u201d for D.C. \u200bjurors\u2019 hostility, but he chose to highlight his support for a \u200cfederal takeover of crime-ridden D.C.<\/p>\n<p>This severely underestimates both the source and the intensity of D.C. jurors\u2019 hatred for the\u200b former president.<\/p>\n<p>In short, Washington,\u200c D.C., has all\u2064 the characteristics of an imperial capital. For instance, wealth demonstrably flows from the hinterlands to the seat of\u2064 government.<\/p>\n<p>According \u2063to a \u200d2022 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usnews.com\/news\/healthiest-communities\/slideshows\/richest-counties-in-america?slide=15\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">U.S. News<\/a> \u2062 story, \u2062five of the eight wealthiest\u2062 counties in the U.S. are suburbs of D.C. This \u2063includes Loudoun County, Virginia, and Falls Church County, Virginia,\u200d the nation\u2019s two wealthiest counties by median\u200b household\u200b income.<\/p>\n<p>Trump has called attention to the federal government\u2019s decades-long fleecing of U.S. citizens. Federal officials hate him for it. So do D.C. residents who have profited from it.
