We\u2019ll respond\u200d to the call of the law if it comes, and we\u2019ll just tell them the truth.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>For Pence, further alienating\u200c Trump supporters may not be a wise \u200dpath for\u200c someone with \u20622024 presidential aspirations.<\/p>\n<p>This\u2063 CBS interview comes on the heels of the former <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/hunter-biden-defector-emails-pipeline-to-obama-admin-seen-as-currency\/\" title=\"Hunter Biden Defector Emails: 'Pipeline' to Obama Admin Seen as 'Currency'\">vice president<\/a>\u2062 campaigning \u200cin \u2064New \u200dHampshire.<\/p>\n<p>The\u2063 reception he received in the Granite State was about <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/watch-mike-pence-met-parking-lot-full-hecklers-sell-people\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">as warm as\u2064 granite<\/a> \u2062 on \u200bFriday.<\/p>\n<p>Hecklers \u200daccosted Pence during\u200d a stop in Londonderry, New Hampshire, accusing the former \u2062vice president of \u2063selling out the American people \u200band \u200bnot upholding\u200b the Constitution:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">A dozen \u200dTrump supporters approached Mike Pence\u2019s vehicle as \u2064he entered his \u200dFriday event \u200cyelling, \u201cthat\u2019s\u2063 a traitor,\u201d \u201cyou\u2019re a sellout,\u201d and \u201cwhy didn\u2019t you\u200b uphold the constitution?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI upheld the constitution,\u201d Pence shouted back.<\/p>\n<p>As they badgered \u2064him\u200d he yelled, \u201cRead \u2063it!\u201d \u200d <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/gKpeB2mntO\">pic.twitter.com\/gKpeB2mntO<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Kelsey Walsh\u200c (@Kjwalsh_news) \u2063 <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Kjwalsh_news\/status\/1687790243171205120?\">August 5, 2023<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Things have grown \u200cincreasingly frosty between Trump and Pence since they\u2019ve collectively left \u2062the White House \u2063following \u2063the 2020\u200d general election.<\/p>\n<p>While\u200b the two seemingly had\u2063 an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/mike-pence-reveals-trumps-message-last-days-office\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">amicable split<\/a> in the immediate aftermath\u2064 of that election, things have\u200d gotten increasingly more awkward and frosty \u2063with each successive indictment brought against Trump.<\/p>\n<p>After the third indictment, \u2064which many of Trump\u2019s \u200cmost <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/pence-refuses-to-rule-out-being-a-witness-for-the-prosecution-i-cannot-wait-to-cross-examine-trumps-lawyer-says\/\" title=\"Pence won't rule out being a witness - Trump's lawyer eager to cross-examine.\">ardent \u2063supporters \u200dfeel<\/a> are being weaponized against him, Pence all but <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/mike-pence-turns-trump-good-sides-biden-regime-trumps-third-indictment\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">came out and said<\/a> \u200b that Trump\u200d isn\u2019t fit to serve as president.<\/p>\n<p>Before\u200c that, Pence remarked that Trump\u200b \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/pence-breaks-silence-trump-jan-6-throws-45-bus-endangered-family-everyone-capitol\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">endangered<\/a>\u201d \u200bthe life\u200c of him and his family through his actions during Jan. 6, 2021.<\/p>\n<p>While Pence \u200dand Trump may have\u2062 always been headed\u200b for a nasty divorce, there\u2019s\u200c also the significant fact\u2064 that Pence\u2019s increasing reticence\u200d towards Trump comes as\u2064 Pence aims to secure the 2024 GOP presidential nomination for himself.<\/p>\n<p>And Pence has quite a bit \u200dof\u200d work to do in that regard.
