Glenn Youngkin (R-VA) may find it \u200dharder to resist \u200cthe\u200d allure of the 2024 presidential race, thanks to a promising new poll that has caught the attention of political pundits.<\/p>\n<p>A <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/only-22-of-cable-news-is-news-study\/\" title=\"Only 22% of Cable \u2018News\u2019 is News: Study\">recent poll conducted<\/a> by VCU&#8217;s Wilder \u2063School\u2063 of Government and Public Affairs \u200cin July revealed that Youngkin is currently the \u2062only\u2064 Republican who could secure victory in his home \u2063state if pitted against President\u200b Joe Biden. Surprisingly, former \u2062President Donald Trump trails behind \u200cBiden by 3 percentage points, while \u200dGov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL)\u200d would find himself in a tie, according to the Hill.<\/p>\n<h3>Youngkin&#8217;s\u200d Ambiguous Stance \u2063on Presidential Aspirations<\/h3>\n<p>In May, when directly asked \u2064about his intentions to run for president in 2024, the Virginia\u200d Republican seemed to decline, although his team later \u200dclarified that he hadn&#8217;t completely\u2064 ruled it out.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>&#8220;No,&#8221; Youngkin \u200dreplied when asked \u200cif he would be \u200djoining the race &#8220;later this year.&#8221; \u2062&#8221;I&#8217;m going to be working in\u2064 Virginia this year.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;And so our House and Senate are up for full reelection \u200dthis \u2064year. We have a House that\u2019s controlled by Republicans and\u200d a Senate that\u2019s controlled by Democrats,&#8221; he continued. &#8220;I want to hold our House, and\u2063 I\u2019d like to flip our Senate.
