This order would block the former president from sharing details of evidence from\u2064 his Jan. 6 criminal case \u200cproceedings.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>In a court \u200dorder filed Saturday afternoon, Judge Tanya Chutkan ruled Trump&#8217;s legal team must respond to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/primary-source-for-steele-dossier-is-accused-of-fabricating-information\/\" title=\"Primary Source for Steele Dossier Is Accused of Fabricating Information\">special counsel&#8217;<\/a>s motion by Monday at 5 p.m.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The order comes after the DOJ issued a court filing \u2062at\u2062 about 10 p.m. on Friday, raising concerns \u200cabout a message Trump posted on his Truth Social account. Prosecutors argue that this message may\u200b lead to improper sharing of details about his\u2064 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/top-house-republican-opposes-new-congressional-probe-into-jan-6-capitol-attack\/\" title=\"Top House Republican Opposes New Congressional Probe Into Jan. 6 Capitol Attack\">ongoing criminal proceedings<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3>Trump Blasts DOJ Protective\u200c Order<\/h3>\n<p>If Trump&#8217;s team\u200d seeks to challenge the protective \u200corder, they \u200bmust file a\u200b revised version and submit it to Judge Chutkan before the\u200c deadline, \u200daccording to the ruling.<\/p>\n<p>The protective order was filed in response to a message Trump posted on\u200c his Truth\u200b Social account, stating, &#8220;If you go \u200cafter me, I\u2019m coming after you!&#8221; Prosecutors worry that Trump may publicly share evidence from the criminal case, which details his efforts to overturn the 2020 election results.<\/p>\n<p>In their \u2062filing, prosecutors urged Judge Chutkan to issue an order prohibiting the public release of any findings related to the case.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cSuch\u2062 a restriction is particularly important in this case because the defendant has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/federal-judge-tells-trump-to-respond-to-doj-protective-order-by-monday\/\" title=\"Federal judge orders Trump to respond to DOJ protective order by Monday.\">previously issued public statements<\/a> on social media regarding witnesses, judges, attorneys, and others associated with legal matters \u200dpending against him,\u201d wrote Senior Assistant Special Counsels Molly Gaston and Thomas Windom in \u2063the filing.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The filing does not explicitly request a gag order against Trump, which\u2063 would prevent him from discussing the case outside the courtroom or with the media. However, prosecutors emphasized their\u200d intention to share a substantial amount of evidence with Trump&#8217;s team while keeping it out of public view during the ongoing criminal proceedings.<\/p>\n<p>Trump&#8217;s team\u200c strongly criticized these efforts, arguing that the social media post falls under his First Amendment rights to express his opinion online.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Truth post \u200ccited is the definition of political speech, and was in response to \u2064the RINO, China-loving, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/trump-blasts-doj-protective-order-for-targeting-his-right-to-political-speech\/\" title=\"Trump criticizes DOJ protective order, claims it infringes on his right to 'political speech'.\">dishonest special interest groups<\/a> and Super PACs, like the ones funded by the Koch brothers and the Club for No Growth,\u201d a Trump spokesperson said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>The filing comes just days after Trump was arraigned on four federal charges in Washington, D.C.
