Morrison had \u200dalready tested the\u200c school&#8217;s policy by\u200c wearing a shirt\u200d that read \u200c&#8221;There are censored genders&#8221;\u200c after being asked to\u2063 change his shirt twice.<\/p>\n<h3>Championing \u200bFreedom of Expression<\/h3>\n<p>Morrison&#8217;s attorney, Logan Spena, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/democrat-governor-says-removal-of-far-left-books-from-schools-is-castrating-kids\/\" title=\"Democrat Governor criticizes removal of far-left books from schools, deeming it harmful to children.\">passionately argues<\/a>, &#8220;This\u2064 isn&#8217;t \u2063just about a T-shirt; it&#8217;s\u2062 about a public\u2062 school stifling a middle-schooler&#8217;s right \u2062to \u200dexpress a viewpoint that differs \u200dfrom the school&#8217;s orthodoxy. Liam should not be forced to remove a shirt that\u2062 simply states his position, \u200cespecially\u200b when other students\u2064 are allowed to wear \u2062clothing expressing their own views on the same \u200dissue. \u200cThe school&#8217;s decision to silence \u200bhim and double down\u200b on \u2063their \u200ccensorship is a clear violation of \u200dthe First \u200cAmendment, and we are urging\u200b the 1st\u2062 Circuit to\u200d rectify this injustice.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Spena is affiliated with\u2063 the\u2063 conservative group Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF), which \u2063initially filed\u2063 the lawsuit in May.\u200c Since the\u200d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/one-of-two-wisconsin-supreme-court-rulings-give-president-trump-the-win-should-be-enough-votes-to-win-the-state\/\" title=\"One of Two Wisconsin Supreme Court Rulings Give President Trump the Win \u2013 Should Be Enough Votes to Win the State\">court ruling<\/a>, Morrison has been prohibited from wearing the\u2064 controversial shirt. Now, Spena is seeking permission from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/ca-churches-finally-got-help-from-scotus-and-it-was-a-huge-blow-to-gavin-newsom\/\" title=\"CA Churches Finally Got Help from SCOTUS and It Was a Huge Blow to Gavin Newsom\">appellate court<\/a> to allow Morrison to continue wearing the shirt at school.<\/p>\n<p>Despite multiple requests for comment, Middleborough Public Schools have remained silent \u2062on \u2062the \u2063matter.<\/p>\n<p>Before resorting to legal action, \u200dMorrison&#8217;s parents, \u200dChristopher and Susan, had attempted to obtain permission from the school superintendent for their \u2064son to\u2064 wear the shirt.
