Brian Fitzpatrick in the Republican primary for Pennsylvania\u2019s 1st \u2064Congressional District.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cI have seen first-hand what an out of \u2063control government can do to its \u200dcitizens. \u2064I will fight to protect all people and their rights under God &#038; our Constitution. \u200bMy platform is based on common sense,\u201d Houck <a href=\"https:\/\/houckforcongress.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">says<\/a> on\u2062 his campaign website.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Houck, who leads\u2064 a nonprofit group\u200d that provides sidewalk counseling\u2062 at abortion \u200dclinics in Philadelphia, \u200cwas prosecuted over an incident\u200c involving his then-12-year-old son at a Planned Parenthood abortion facility.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cI am running for Congress to further protect my family, those in the 1st district &#038; the Republic.\u2063 I will focus on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/pro-life-activist-prosecuted-by-biden-administration-running-for-congress\/\" title=\"Pro-life activist prosecuted by Biden administration now running for Congress.\">restoring \u2062traditional values\u200b &#038; principles<\/a>\u200c that are central to the American identity, \u200bsuch as faith, family,\u2064 &#038; freedom of speech, religion, &#038; the right to bear arms,\u201d Houck \u2063says.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Issues\u2062 highlighted on Houck\u2019s website include \u200csupport \u200bof\u2062 limited government and a strong\u200b military that is not \u201ca\u200d social experimentation program.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Fitzpatrick, a former FBI agent and \u2062federal prosecutor, has been\u2064 the \u2063district\u2019s representative since 2019 and heads up the House \u2064subcommittee on national intelligence. The district \u2064covers an area just north of\u200c Philadelphia, \u2062including Bucks\u200d County.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cI\u2019ve \u200bknown the Fitzpatrick family for a long \u200ctime. I have the highest respect for\u2062 the \u200bFitzpatrick family. I honor his service to our country, but the time has come, I \u2063think, for\u2062 a \u200cchange in our \u2062district,\u201d Houck\u2063 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.churchmilitant.com\/news\/article\/mark-houck-announces-run-for-congress\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">told<\/a> The Church Militant\u200d website.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>Concerns\u200c Over FBI Raid<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">During and after his prosecution, Republican lawmakers <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/acquitted-pro-life-activist-mark-houck-tells-congress-fbi-raided-his-home-to-instill-fear-in-pro-life-america\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">raised \u200dconcerns<\/a> over the aggressive approach federal \u200cauthorities took\u200d in Houck\u2019s case.
