Some users were impressed with\u200d Ware\u2019s courage (the\u200b man is in the \u2064Pro Football Hall of Fame, not the Rock and Roll\u2064 Hall of Fame, after\u2063 all),\u200d while others \u200cblasted the\u200c retired star for his\u2062 admittedly off-key rendition\u2063 of\u200d \u201cThe Star-Spangled \u2062Banner.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ware, who\u2064 revealed he sang the national anthem on <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/NFL\/status\/1687285520278372352\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">behalf<\/a> \u200dof\u2062 a deceased former teammate, has obviously taken this \u200bnegative\u2063 attention in stride and why shouldn\u2019t he? The man\u2063 is intimately\u2063 familiar with capturing\u200b attention and headlines, given that \u200bhe\u2019s made something of a career of it.<\/p>\n<p>And\u200b perhaps\u200c no bit of attention or headline was bigger than \u2063a play Ware made against someone else intimately linked with national anthems \u2014 \u2062 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/colin-kaepernick-digging-deeper-hole-just-said-white-adoptive-parents\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Colin \u2062Kaepernick<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The play in question happened\u2064 in \u200ba historic Sunday Night Football\u2062 game between the Broncos and\u200c San Francisco 49ers in October 2014.
