This\u2062 was one of the areas of interest during the\u2062 five-year investigation of\u200c Hunter\u200c Biden.<\/p>\n<p>Archer explained that having Hunter Biden on\u200d the board of Burisma helped shield the company from deeper scrutiny\u2063 in a corrupt country like Ukraine. The association with the Biden name sent signals that deterred Ukrainian officials.<\/p>\n<p>Archer also addressed the confusion \u200csurrounding the role of Viktor Shokin, the former prosecutor general of Ukraine who was investigating Burisma.
