Upadhyaya to enter a not-guilty\u200b plea\u200b to the charges against him in connection with his challenges to the\u200c 2020 election. This \u200btells us up front \u200dthat the judge has already set their \u2064own bias in.<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Robin T (@RealRobinToupin) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RealRobinToupin\/status\/1687276260060442624?\">August 4, 2023<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Upadhyaya did issue a warning <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/politics\/donald-trump\/live-blog\/trump-indictment-arrested-charges-2020-election-rcna97647\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NBC<\/a> said was not common.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFinally, sir, I want to remind you that it is a crime to try to influence \u200ca juror, or\u2063 to threaten or attempt to bribe a witness or any other person \u200bwho may have information about your case, or to retaliate against anyone for providing information about your case to the prosecution, \u200bor to otherwise obstruct the\u200c administration of justice,\u201d she\u2063 said.<\/p>\n<p>U.S.\u2063 District Court Judge Tanya Chutkan, \u2064who was appointed by former\u200b President\u2064 Barack Obama,\u200d will hear Trump\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/judge-hands-trump-win-says-stolen-election-claims-protected-presidential-immunity\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">case<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/trump-indictment-judge-tanya-chutkan-capitol-riot-9ba5c18d315697d759521425ea203012\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Associated Press<\/a> \u2063called her a \u201ctough punisher\u201d who has handed down stiff sentences against those convicted\u2064 of crimes in\u200c the Capitol incursion.<\/p>\n<p>AP noted that in a<a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/nightmare-brewing-trump-gets-assigned-judge-latest-case\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> 2021 hearing<\/a>, Chutkan rejected any comparison\u2063 between\u200d those who rioted after\u200c the death of George Floyd\u200d and the\u2062 Capitol incursion.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPeople gathered \u200ball over the \u200bcountry last \u2062year to protest the \u2062violent murder by the police of an unarmed man.
