Whitmer, Media Caught in Another Lie - Anarchist Arrested For Plot to Kidnap and Kill Whitmer Hates President Trump, 'Trump is a Tyrant' (VIDEO)\">press conference<\/a>\u2064 to tout that seven companies active in artificial\u2064 intelligence (AI) development had made a voluntary commitment to create standards for safety, security, and trust around their <a href=\"https:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/Politics\/biden-white-house-tech-companies-launch-new-safeguards\/story?id=101555314\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">AI technology<\/a>.\u2062 If this sounds like a bunch of smoke and mirrors to \u200cyou, you\u2019re in \u2062good company, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.brookings.edu\/articles\/how-americans-confidence-in-technology-firms-has-dropped-evidence-from-the-second-wave-of-the-american-institutional-confidence-poll\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">as \u2064trust in technology companies has been waning<\/a>. But what are the smoke and mirrors hiding? The answer, it seems, was quite literally staring everyone in the face at a different <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/sweeping-lgbt-bill-passes-house-gop-lawmaker-vows-to-fight-in-the-courts-and-beyond-if-it-becomes-law\/\" title=\"Sweeping LGBT Bill Passes House, GOP Lawmaker Vows To Fight \u2018In The Courts And Beyond\u2019 If It Becomes Law\">press conference earlier<\/a> \u2063this summer.<\/p>\n<p>On \u200bJuly 7 in Geneva, Switzerland, the United Nations hosted nine AI-humanoids to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/the-right-to-be-let-alone-when-the-government-wants-to-know-all-your-business\/\" title=\"The Right to Be Let Alone: When the Government Wants to Know All Your Business\">answer questions posed<\/a>\u200d by journalists. \u2064The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=T80yQHmqp6o&#038;ab_channel=GlobalNews\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">AI-humanoids had<\/a> expressive faces,\u2062 lips that\u200c moved, eyes that scanned the room, and heads that turned \u200din \u200cthe direction \u200dof \u2064the questioner.\u2063 They \u200dalso had\u200c their own backstories and culture. They had identifiable male and female characteristics and specific talents and careers. Two even \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/humanoid-robots-better-leaders-ai-geneva-486bb2bad260454a28aaa51ea31580a6\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">resembled \u2063their \u200cmakers<\/a>.\u201d\u2064 <\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2-long d-flex justify-content-center\" style=\"margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center; \" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-520708587\">\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-1379703300879-0\" class=\"mb-30\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-1dd61ef47ca386553eef6926a8bb0aae fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-1dd61ef47ca386553eef6926a8bb0aae\"><\/div>\n<p>The question is why? \u200bWhy do originators and developers of AI strive to represent the \u200ctechnology as human?\u2062 Creating a \u2062human-like robot\u200d isn\u2019t necessary. ChatGPT is powered by \u2064AI but remains a computer interface.\u200d Amazon\u2019s\u200d Alexa, while a less sophisticated technology, listens to \u2063questions and provides answers, yet none of its devices remotely\u200b resemble a human. <\/p>\n<p>The same is mostly true for the navigation systems in our cars. Type in a destination, and the technology gives driving directions specific \u200dto your \u2063needs. This technology\u200c is displayed on your phone or \u200don your car\u2019s dashboard. A voice intended to resemble a human\u2064 voice gives verbal directions, but no one could \u200bconfuse it for\u200c an actual\u2064 human voice, nor does it\u2064 have any\u200d embodiment. <\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Tower\u200d of Babel<\/h2>\n<p>Yet \u2064when it comes to \u200dAI, particularly in high-profile settings \u2062like\u2063 the U.N. press conference, the \u200dtechnology is often \u200brepresented as\u2064 being human. To understand the\u200c mindset\u200c of AI developers, perhaps we should revisit the biblical Tower of Babel.<\/p>\n<p>The\u200b 11th chapter of Genesis <a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=genesis+11&#038;version=NIV\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">describes<\/a> ancient Mesopotamia\u2019s\u200d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/ais-race-toward-human-likeness-is-a-modern-tower-of-babel\/\" title=\"AI's quest for human resemblance is a modern Tower of Babel.\">newest world-changing technology<\/a> as brickmaking<em>.<\/em> <em>\u201c\u2018Come let\u2019s make bricks\u00a0and bake \u200cthem\u2063 thoroughly.\u2019 They used brick instead of stone,\u00a0and tar\u00a0for mortar\u201d <\/em>(v.3). \u2063Armed with such advanced technology, this innovative society set\u2064 out to build a city and <em>\u201ca tower that reaches to the \u2063heavens,\u201d<\/em> \u200dwith the intent\u00a0to<em> \u201cmake a name\u00a0for ourselves\u201d <\/em>(v.4). Those who controlled the technology built the tower and\u200d planned\u200d to ascend to the top as\u2064 gods. <\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-95233f34a83f846e9328ac1894247f8b fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-6\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-95233f34a83f846e9328ac1894247f8b\"><\/div>\n<p>Back\u2063 in\u2064 the modern world of the 21st century,\u200b placing an AI \u2062interface on phones, tablets, or \u2062laptops\u200b is decidedly ungodlike. However, an interface that looks and acts human with a\u200b distinctive\u200c personality transforms its maker into \u200ba creator, a god, who\u2063 shares the same desire \u2064as the \u2063Mesopotamian brickmakers.<\/p>\n<p>For the brickmakers, it was a confusion of\u2062 language that stopped them from \u200dbuilding the city and the tower, and \u200bafter the \u2063confusion came the scattering. <em>\u201cThat is why it was called Babel\u2064 \u2014 because there the\u00a0Lord\u00a0confused\u200d the language\u00a0of the whole world.\u00a0From there \u2062the\u00a0Lord\u00a0scattered\u00a0them over the face\u2064 of the whole \u2064earth\u201d<\/em> (v.9). <\/p>\n<p>In \u200cHebrew, \u2063\u201cBabel\u201d sounds like the word for \u201cconfused,\u201d a word that could also apply to\u2064 our situation today. Confused, scattered, and separated into\u2062 camps, we can\u2019t understand each other\u2063 or work together. We characterize our divisions as liberal\u2064 versus conservative, Democrat versus Republican, secular humanists\u2064 versus the Christian right, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/beyond-jesus-revolution-10-outside-the-box-faith-based-films-on-the-horizon\/\" title=\"Beyond \u2018Jesus Revolution\u2019: 10 Outside-The-Box Faith-Based Films On The Horizon\u00a0\">urban versus rural<\/a>, and the\u2062 haves versus the have-nots. The number \u200cof divisions \u2063according to skin \u2062color, so-called gender\u2063 identity,\u200b sexuality, and ethnicity is truly mind-boggling.\u200c While these might seem like separate problems, they all \u2064have the same root\u2063 cause: the desire to be\u200d gods.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Would-Be Gods<\/h2>\n<p>When you \u2064recognize this, you see it everywhere. Doctors play \u200dgod, purporting to \u201ccorrect\u201d the mistakes of a person\u2019s sex. Administrators of so-called \u201cdiversity, equity, and\u200b inclusion\u201d claim \u200dto know what is\u200b in every human\u2062 heart, offering a road to\u200c forgiveness \u200cthat runs through them and them alone. Like the Tower of Babel, humans are playing god \u2063and think\u200d with such \u2064advancements\u2063 as AI they\u200d actually have \u2063the ability\u200b to \u200bmake\u200c it happen. But there are consequences for individuals and\u200c societies that choose \u200dto be gods.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-9f2e75520eca8a3e43d03828e2b53f18 fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-10\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-9f2e75520eca8a3e43d03828e2b53f18\"><\/div>\n<p>So while issues\u200d of national security and the job market are certainly important, perhaps\u200c distrust and concern about artificial intelligence come from another place entirely. We know in our \u2064hearts \u2062that AI \u2064is going a step too far, and trust \u2062will not be granted to AI until its developers forthrightly answer the questions: Why are you designing\u200d faux humanity, and who is God?<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-8ad4b9a391fc220a7a7adafc47413f0e fdrlst__b89e9-after-post-content\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-8ad4b9a391fc220a7a7adafc47413f0e\"><\/div>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\">    \t\t\t\t\t   \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Biden administration held a press conference, announcing that seven AI companies have voluntarily committed to establishing safety, security, and trust standards for their technology.
